Rumor Disneyland Tomorrowland Future - What to do?

We all know that Disney will have to do something with Tomorrowland soon, what do you want to see?

  • Demo it and start over with a new theme.

  • Demo it and start over with same theme.

  • Demo everything but Space Mountain and keep same theme.

  • Demo everything but Space Mountain but retheme the land.

  • Remove only certain attractions but keep the same theme.

  • Remove only certain attractions but retheme the land.

  • Go retro and bring back '67 Tomorrowland.

  • Don't touch Tomorrowland at all, leave everything the way it is, its my favorite land!

I would think that they can easily demolish the area i marked in orange of the monorail track. Just leave the green area and connect it with a section i marked in yellow. Just have it take one large loop around the area.

Also the blue is the peoplemover track and its clear how much of a mess that is especially since it is just sitting there rotting

Anyone remember the two Autopia?
green was the Fantasyland Autopia
blue was the Tomorrowland Autopia. I never understood why they merged them

That would make lots of room to put my volcano and Seabase Delta.

If they totally gut the land they likely would have to redo the entire monorail track within the park, including building a new station, possibly at a slightly different location.

Realistically speaking, they should just tear down all the remaining PeopleMover tracks so that this land's crowds won't be so incredibly congested. Yes, it's still extremely disheartening to see Disneyland lose their PeopleMover, but in cases such as this, I think it's for the very best to just let the past die.

Tearing down the PM track seems to be the plan.

The fact of the matter is that if they want to use the motorboat area in FL for Frozen/Arendelle they need to remove all the elevated tracks for PM and Monorail. The trick would then be to have a new monorail route circle that area when heading back to the TL station without ruining the theming of Frozen/Arendelle.

I like the idea of just being interwoven around whatever new attraction they build but I don’t think they have to worry about it ruining the frozen theme. It doesn’t really ruin any Alice in Wonderland theme. It’s not really it’s own land behind the berm like Galaxies Edge, it’s just going to be a part of Fantasyland.

Fair point.

I personally don't care if Tron comes or not but I do think it's incredibly weird having two huge coasters right next to each other on the same side of the park (as is happening in Florida)

sweet lord...PLEASE NO TRON.

I think the Tron coaster is inevitable. It's an E-ticket thrill ride with an appealing aesthetic that one can enjoy without being all that familiar with the IP, and it's partially outside which would bring some kinetic energy to the area that it once had but now lacks.

I don't think they even remotely have enough space for that so there's absolutely nothing to worry about for now.

There's plenty of space for it once they remove every building/structure except Space Mountain.

But its already going into MK. The big trend now seems to be what's good for one park is good for the rest. But no. This is where I'd draw the line.

I feel the same way about Tron as I do about the Mickey ride. Because it’s not Marvel or Star Wars it almost feels like an original attraction. Especially when you consider that it focuses on aesthetics/ ride system/ music and not characters. I honestly don’t see them (current Disney/ WDI) giving us a headliner in a new TL better than Tron.

SIDE NOTE: I’ve never even seen the movie.

They should and can! But it takes inspiration and creativity. Not a copy/paste mentality.

Forgot to mention I don’t mind the copy paste so much. I can’t even get myself to pull the trigger on Disney World. Every time I consider it, I think to myself “let me go somewhere tropical and relaxing instead, I’ve been to Disneyland 20x this year.”
Florida is pretty tropical in parts...
