Rise of the Resistance is amazing, but nothing is worth what you have to go through to get on it. Literally getting there before the parking garage opens and not getting to go on the ride is unacceptable.

I don't think that's a knock on ROTR. I can't imagine any attraction worth what you have to go through for Rise.

Latest trip report from the abandoned Disney Land area. Depressing as it may be, it's always a good walk around the perimeter of the parks aside from the part where you go over bridges and psychotic drivers seemingly aim their cars at you on the narrow sidewalk. Freaks.

Anyway.

I didn't go into the Downtown Disney at all.

Looks pretty ....and looks pretty deserted.

Getting all nostalgic looking at those tree lined walkways.
Lots of memories instantly back in my mind of walking those routes...to and from.

Good news today! Disneyland didn’t push reservations, as they do every Thursday morning. The next “push” (per previous pattern) would have been for reservations to start Sept 19 onward. And it would have cancelled all of the newly-made Sept 16-and-onward reservations (that—as of 5 mins ago—can still be made). Is Disney waiting for the guidelines to drop tomorrow? Are they planning on only opening hotels Sept 16? Who knows But it is a change in pattern that has happened for months now.

I really enjoy the walk from the Simba lot to Sorcerers hat in front of the DL entrance. Beautiful lush foliage and gardens.

I walk down the middle of the road from the traffic circle to the Hat. A lot easier with a Walker, and less folks nearby.
