Where can I get Botox?

Mention that you are a big fan of Mayor Haney, who also is Dr. Haney who owns the joint. She'll get you looking as smooth as Bob Iger. Trust me, you'll want to name drop here. The name dropping is as painless as the injections. But seriously, the owner of this Yorba Linda Botox Parlor is also the mayor of Yorba Linda. Dr./Mayor Beth Haney. She's very kind, and does great work.

It's also nice because it's way across the freeway in Yorba Linda in a shopping center with a bunch of other stuff, so if anyone happens to see you just pretend like you are picking up a pizza at Papa John's on your way to the Nixon Library. No one would ever question that.

That's good to know. The speakeasy style is the latest craze in SoCal. Everyone is doing it for big profits; barbers, manicurists, hair stylists, Botox parlors, bars, physical trainers, masseurs, etc.

I've heard about speakeasy style venues becoming a popular trend in recent times (not just actual Corona speakeasies but before that when bars and such were open) but there are none around me. I guess it makes sense since I'm in a suburban area and not in a big trendy city, I'm sure if I really went looking in Sacramento I could find something, but I don't think it'd be worth all that extra stress. Once things start to go back to normal I'm excited to actually go to a bar now that I'm 21. I was supposed to go with a friend on her 21st a few weeks after mine but with everything going on those plans didn't pan out. Maybe an actual speakeasy would be less crowded and make me more relaxed about it 🤣 .

You could make some serious money by operating Disneyland like that. It won't help save the 4th quarter, but Fiscal '21 could start with a bang!

I just went to a barber shop in La Jolla this afternoon where the door is locked and the front windows are covered in black curtains, and you go in thru the back door off a side alley and promise not to tell Sacramento that you got a haircut.

Maybe there's a way to get people into Disneyland off of Ball Road, instead of Harbor Blvd. and the main entrance?

If it helps any, I tipped the young barber $20 on a $25 haircut, so there's money to be made by running a speakeasy.

Judging by all the civilians in San Diego I've seen with fresh haircuts the past few weeks, there's a strong market.
But barber shops on San Diego County are officially allowed to cut hair and do so indoors as of today
....if you had just waited....lol

Weird. The county health website still says “The state has closed indoor activities in SD county” and still lists barbershops as only approved for outdoor activity... From what I understand getting off the watchlist allowed schools to start the reopen countdown, nothing else. (Something counties have been screaming at the Governor about.) There is no process for reopening anything else 🙄 That process is supposed to be laid out by him today.

Hey, hey! I just play detective and look at patterns. I don’t actually know anything and just hope for the best 😂 but the facts are as follows:

1) Newsom is releasing new guidelines at noon. These may include theme parks, these may not. In fact, new guidelines even mean we can close even more technically, but that I doubt.
2) reservations, as of 2 weeks ago, have been available for paradise pier hotel and grand Californian hotel for start on Sept 16, and since then, have not been pushed. You can still get those reservations if you have a modest $700 😂
3) Every Thursday over the last couple months, Disneyland has pushed hotel reservations a week, about 3 weeks out. Yesterday there was no push (or none that I heard of) and that push would have—based on pattern—been for reservations Sept 19 onward. Based on point #2 and this point, it looks like at the very least Disneyland hotels are hoping to open in this week in September, week of the 16th. I’m pretty sure they are allowed to reopen at the moment regardless of parks being open or not... the question is will they keep it if parks can’t reopen, AND will they open the parks this week? I have no clue on this. But....
4) a few good neighbor hotels that are not already open have availability for either Sept 11th onward (Friday prior) or Sept 16 onward. There is something going on around this week with activity. Like I said, many are already open so it’s hard to find a pattern here. But for a few that aren’t at the moment, their first reservations that I can see are in this time frame as well. To further this..
5. Desert Palms, who IS open already, has the 13th-16th dates uniquely inflated to a rate of $401. Otherwise they are under $200 a night. Very bizarre because competitors aren’t at that price during those dates, but I felt I should report it.
6. Lets not forget that OP told us—and a fellow poster reiterated— that they were told that Disney aims to open sept 16 and they may keep their reservation until sept 13 without penalty. Did this only mean hotels? Was the CM mistaken? Maybe, but another point in my list 🕵🏻
7. This week, Disney executives—and fellow theme park executives from SeaWorld, Universal, and Legoland—all made public cries of “we are ready to open California parks”. I will say, when this happened, it made me think “well maybe they WEREN’T having conversations behind the scenes”. But on another hand, it may have been a strategy to not just push Newsom to remember them in his plans this Friday, but to also inform the public that may be crying “omg Disney why”
Another thing that makes me think maybe conversations WERENT happening Are per OCR this morning:
“ Legoland California will host a news conference in Miniland U.S.A. on Friday, Aug. 28 with county and city officials who will call for the park and other San Diego County business to be allowed to open.”
But on another hand, depending on when the new conference is (B.N or A.N, and the “N” here is “Newsom”) maybe this is a “we are reopening conference”..? That’s optimistic, so again, I’m just pointing out and putting together all that we know.
8. This may not mean ANYTHING, but preparation has occurred on the front gates of both parks. Plexiglass, yellow standing marker lines (though just two per kiosk). Also, the chain queues are up again around the ticket and guest relation booths. Also, the lights are up again at the entrances of the parks. The reason why I don’t know if this is to be read into as much is because we know THEY want to open and so they are probably preparing what they can little by little, knowing it is inevitable. But it’s a question of if they are preparing to open SOON. Also, to further this, they replaced the billboard in DCA with one of “Soul” opening in Nov. previously it was of Hamilton, which they put up in anticipation of the July opening. So that billboard tells us they at least hope to open between now and Nov. 😂

If you guys have anything else, Go ahead and add to this list. I just love to speculate!

This is almost definitely nothing, but I recently saw a Rise of the Resistance billboard resurrected in town.

To add to this post, IT is doing some behind the scenes work on park hours. Previously it said “closed” on the first page. Not sure when this changed—and this is not yet updated in the app—but this is what it says hours are today:

Yes IT has been poking around... Club Level rooms at GCH and PPH have been pulled. (They were there for booking when I looked a week or so ago.)
