Was really hoping this would be up and running by the time of my trip on the 22nd, but doesn't look like it will be. It's crazy how long this project is taking.
It can't be too much longer, right? With scaffolding coming down and everything.

Now that Splash has an announced closing date, I wonder if they'll time its opening right around the closure to give people something else to focus on.

It is crawling along. When did it close again? 2021? Over 2 years for a walkthrough retheme is ridiculous
Tarzan went down September 3rd, 2021, so it will be 2 years in a few weeks.

To put things in perspective, the time between Swiss Family Robinson treehouse closing and Tarzan's Treehouse opening was only 4 months. That includes building the tree in the walkway and bridge, adding the static figures and music, and the interactive stuff at the attraction exit.

Something is wrong. What, I dunno, but if it only took 4 months to change it to Tarzan, why is it taking 2+ years to change it back? Is it internal creative disputes? Is it lack of money? Did they actually not know yet what they were going to do when they closed it? Is imagineering now just majorly inept?

I forgot about this project. It’s not on my radar at all.

This is taking a long time. With that being said, I’m not excited for this. It’s going to open and I’m not going to be in any rush whatsoever to purchase a park ticket.

My assumption is they closed it down, didn't have a plan in place yet, probably had major structural stuff to deal with... and then Disney delayed it until they had the budget for the attraction built into a specific quarter or something, with whatever plan they came up with for the redesign.

And now here we are.

According to MiceChat, it should be opening soonish.

it has taken way too long imo, but I am actualy looking forward to this when it opens, I liked the tarzan treehouse for what it was, but this new version looks pretty awesome imo.

Did this ever open? I feel like this project should've been completed a long time ago.

I could give them an extra 60 days for asbestos removal, but this is now utterly ridiculous.

Even if they found Uranium teeming with radioactivity in the tree roots, it still wouldn't explain why this has taken over 2 years.

Something is fishy with this. Or maybe it really just is incompetence and bad financial planning?

We're talking about a company that has taken 5 years to make a Moana walk through with water features. Also 5 years to clone a Shanghai Roller Coaster to Disney World.

The only short construction they've done in recent years was the Toontown redo which they are still working on and repairing.
