There actually was a real dreaming tree of Walt's in Marceline but it was struck by lightning a few years ago but saplings from the original were planted in Marceline and in Disneyland.

Here is a little info about it from Disney Food Blog.
"The Dreaming Tree in Toontown will not be the only Dreaming Tree in Disneyland, as a sapling from seeds of the original Cottonwood Tree, which was sadly struck by lightning, was planted near the Mark Twain Riverboat in 2005, and later moved to the banks of the Rivers of America. If you find yourself in Disneyland, you can find this “Son of the Dreaming Treelocated behind a teepee and a fire pit in the Lakota Village if you take a ride on any of the water transportation on the Rivers of America."

So, because I'm too lazy to go back in the thread to look it up... what is the theme of the Treehouse now? Walt's Dream Something Something?

I'm sure the "Disney Adults" of social media will be shoving kids out of the way to relive the memories of walking around a treehouse that was probably closed before they were born.
I LAUGHED, but I wish this weren't as accurate as it probably is.

I'm optimistic seeing the rain barrel and bamboo pipes.

One of the most clever things about the original Treehouse was how Mr. Robinson fixed up those pipes for running water throughout the house. And then in a few rooms they'd have those sinks made out of big clamshells where the water was trickling out of the bamboo faucets. Swiss ingenuity. 🇨🇭

Somehow, that 1960's detail was very memorable for me.

Still in testing. I remember seeing the bright blue lights testing in Avatar land at night and thinking “that’s a bit extreme” - and then seeing that they never actually looked like that haha.

I don’t think a mix of colored lights would necessarily look bad for the treehouse. Could be pretty.
Thanks, this is encouraging!
