Just like Mickey Avenue and Paradise Pier, the concept here is to celebrate all Disney and Pixar characters. This is why it won't be like other lands that immerse you in movie-themed worlds; instead, it will be more like gardens that celebrate these stories. Beyond Disney princesses, there will also be nods to Mary Poppins, Toy Story, Peter Pan, Up!, and other yet-to-be-revealed franchises. The idea is to create a more pleasant space that provides a counterbalance to the hyper-immersion of other upcoming worlds, with a lighter theme. There's no need to see Rapunzel's tower or Carl Fredericksen's house, or to wonder why there are statues of characters like Peter Pan. We won't be plunged into the logic of the films, and it will be perfectly coherent to see simple rides or flat rides that don't aspire to deep immersion. What happened to The Little Mermaid theme? The art nouveau lake promenade has a loose princess theme?
Wouldn't UP make more sense in the Pixar area? Considering the massive success of Inside Out 2, this could be another contender to replace the Aladdin theme for flying spinner attraction - if they actually plan to replace it at some point.
