Disappointing. same system as before with just more block out dates on some tiers. payment plans being available is shocking. passholes should count their lucky stars, this could have been worse. no one has a right to complain over this new offering if they were a former passholder.
Why did you feel it was going to be more customer friendly? That has not been the pattern with any annuals since the Bob’s were left with the keys

Ok, another Q for the knowledgeable. If we upgrade our tickets to the new AP while there, Sept 6th, which is blocked out on most passes, we won't then have to redo our reservations will we 😬? We technically should be able to still access on the 6th...right? 😶

Limited Capacity…

What limited capacity? There have been no regulations on capacity at Disneyland (save for fire code) since June 15th.

they have the data…why are we assuming they have the demand past the initial stir crazy lockdown breakout? That’s not gonna last.

Yeah but suggesting that the pent-up-demand has run it's course for future bookings, is different from trying to suggest that maximizing their yield for the past four months was a mistake.

You are right that the pandemic MIGHT be still impacting the decision making. Without the APs they would have seen a decrease in bookings in the fall as the traditional tourist patterns held. People would be going back to school and NOT visiting Disneyland. Add in the continually depressed international tourism, and hesitation surrounding the delta variant, and most assuredly they were looking at a massive drop off of bookings for Oct-Dec (as is tradition).

But that's all a completely different argument than saying that they were wrong to charge everyone $150 to get in during the summer. They weren't.

What I’m saying is that the covid situation - mainly the fact it’s probably gonna be a restricted winter again - would figure considerably into this decision

and the summer is just a couple of months…I don’t think they did the wrong thing charging for that…but they need the annuals for the other 7/8/9 months…which means you have to “suffer” them in the summer. They have no choice.

The pass names are dumb. I miss when it was Silver, Deluxe, Platinum. Why is it a key? And let me talk about it again, its a 20 dollar fee to get a physical pass, which is just a piece of paper. It's cell phone only.

I'll take great pride in printing out a screenshot of the barcode from my phone and laminating it.

Anything below the Believe Key seems pretty worthless, but this isn't that bad overall, especially since the Believe Key gets half priced parking. I kind of want to see how short term availability is for reservations before I buy one myself. I would hate to pay for it and have zero chance to actually get in the park unless I am able to book a reservation the second it turns 3am 90 days before I want to go.

And this will do nothing to make the parks less crowed. Thanks to the Imagine Key, off season weekdays will continue to be the absolute worst days to visit the parks.

Not exactly. For a while I only had a weekday pass to WDW. It was nice to go in the evenings every so often to grab dinner and a couple of rides.

Off season weekdays are perfect for us. Sorry that it is not a good fit 😐 on your end. We are only there a few times a year at most anyway. Hate weekends at DL. Always a mess and crowded in prior years.

In SoCal, most visitors have the cheapest pass so those days always tended to be extremely crowded. Plus the earlier closing times made things worse also.
