Disneyland Hates Walt Disney World

3) Tomorrowland is not as good in Walt Disney World as in Disneyland.

I'm sorry but I have to disagree with that. DL's tomorrowland feels cramped and isn't landscaped as well. At WDW we have the TTA and Astro Orbitor on top. DL lost them both, and has Astro Orbiter on the ground causing alot of congestion in the entrance to tomorowland. Plus it can be seen from Main Street which really ruins the effect of being in different lands. We also have COP, a Walt Disney classic. They do have a longer race car ride (Autopia) and The Submarine Voyage, but seriously what's Nemo doing in tomorrowland? I like the ride but it doesn't really fit and makes the area more cramped. Then the rest they have is in other places at WDW, Innoventions and HISTA are better at Epcot. Star Tours doesn't really fit in Tomorrowland in my opinion. They do have nicer Buzz Lightyear ride, but ours was the original so of course it's going to have improvements. I think the theme fits well in our tomorrowland, and I'll even go so far as to sat I like Monster's Inc, and I'd rather have SGE than a restaurant (althought the food is good).

Hello there,

Recently, I have had a thought, and it has surprised and puzzled me a bit. I believe I have good reasons as to why I say that Disneyland hates Walt Disney World!!!!

1) Captain EO is returning to Disneyland, while it is NOT at Epcot.

2) Disneyland has had its submarines brought back recently, while Walt Disney World's Nautilus submarines are gone and rotting backstage.

3) Tomorrowland is not as good in Walt Disney World as in Disneyland.

4) Disneyland has a brilliant Fantasyland, while it in Walt Disney World is more smaller and needs such a big makeover.

5) Space Mountain in Walt Disney World looks very unrealistic today while Disneyland's is a masterpiece!

6) Tom Morrow still exists in Disneyland Innoventions, while Tom Morrow is gone at Epcot. Timekeeper, who looks like Disneyland's Tom Morrow is ALSO gone.

7) Disneyland has the Matterhorn, while World Showcase WAS going to, but no!!!...

8) It's A Small World is huge in Disneyland, compared to the one in Walt Disney World.

9) The Enchanted Tiki Room, in its original form, still exists in Disneyland, while we have the SO un-orginial Zazu and Iago.

These nine reasons I believe make Disneyland look more superior than WDW, and therefore it hates WDW!!!!

What do you guys think? :)

1. That has not yet been confirmed as concrete. It has only been confirmed that if said film were to hypothetically return, it would not air in Paris Disneyland.

2. Our subs were rotting away long before the attraction closed... And for the record, they aren't rotting away--they are decomposing in the Reedy Creek landfill.

3. It depends on how you look at it... We have the TTA, Carousel of Progress, Stitch, the Astro Orbitor, Stitch's Supersonic Celebration stage, Cosmic Ray's, Buzz Lightyear, MILF, Space Mountain (technically two) and the Tomorrowland Speedway. They have the Orbitron (I believe that is what its called over there), Innoventions, HISTA, Buzz Lightyear, Space Mountain, a monorail station and technically half of the Matterhorn as well as a technical acquisition of the Nemo Submarine Voyage. I prefer ours to theirs in terms of attractions, while I prefer theirs in terms of look and feel (minus the dead Rocket Rod track).

4. We are getting a major Fantasyland makeover. It was announced just this last week...

5. Calling Space Mountain unrealistic in any sense is a farce, considering the context...

6. Time goes on and characters disappear... What more can you really say here?

7. To quote Felicia Day, "Everything happens..." It doesn't make sense to mourn what we never lost... I would have loved the Israel pavilion that Marty described during Epcot's 25th anniversary, but its absence doesn't make me dislike the World Showcase or Epcot in general...

8. I'm sorry? :lookaroun

9. I wouldn't call it unoriginal, considering it was never done before... But then again, if you take the word original in a different thought, then the updated version is unoriginal... :animwink:

Disneyland Hates Walt Disney World

And just to throw it out there because I know at least one other member that looked at this title thought the same thing as me... Why exactly would the hypothetical living entity that is Disneyland Park hate the hypothetical living entity that is Walt Disney World? And for that matter, why would the hypothetical living entity that is Walt Disney World care what the hypothetical living entity Disneyland Park thinks? And even further, why would we even bother to notice if there was some form of hatred exchanged between these two hypothetical living entities? :king:

Disneyland might tease Walt Disney World in front of other theme parks, lock it in the closet occasionally, give it wedgies, and yes, there was that one unfortunate incident with the baseball cards where Disneyland lost a tooth and Walt Disney World had to get a few stitches...but make no mistake. They love each other in a way none of us will ever truly understand, and Disneyland would never let anybody else talk smack about its little homie Dub-Dee-Dub.

i love Soarin, but dont u think Soarin over Florida would be great/beautiful?

Have you flown over Florida lately?!?? As someone who flies all the time, I gotta say Florida is flat and U-G-L-Y, lol!! If you want to see gorgeous vistas(And something that would make a great new Soarin' film), give John McAfee(Yes, THE McAfee antivirus software guy!) and his Sky Gypsies some HD cameras while they are out 'Aerotrekking'... The American Southwest at 5-10 feet at 35-50 mph in an Air Creation Tanarg is utterly amazing. And when the more daring pilots hit a canyon, it's downright jawdropping!

As for DL vs. WDW.. MY THEME PARK CAN BEAT UP YOUR THEME PARK:hammer:!!!!

I really wish Monster's, Inc. Laugh Floor wasn't abbreviated MILF. I don't think I can handle it when I see it in someone's post.

Anyway, I've been to Disneyland once and all I got was an allergic reaction which caused my eye to swell.:( So I'm sticking with my WDW!

There are other things that make up so really for anyone to say that isn't legit. I see your point that you think California is better but really WDW is different. And the fact WDW is surrounded my woods and fields where disneyland is surrounded by the city. You dont have to take a ferry or monorail to the parking lot which makes it so much more realistic and gives the feel that you are in a totally different place. By the way you cant say anything about space mountain until its done.

Soarin needs to display the most important elements of the world that we need to protect. Places allot of us haven't been to. I mean over volcanos, and maybe even go under water even you know that isn't air travel. I am surprised you haven't mentioned the hemlock forests that still exist. Where I live the hemlock forests are gone. I went camping in the catskills and the hemlocks are preserved and still tower they need to add places like that. Maybe the pine barons, canyons, the different coasts like the rocky ones you might find in main and up in those arias. I know people who thought it was all sand. They can go over the cities to.

I do agree on some OTHER things like:

They got Indy (Dinosaurs awesome, but Indy and Dinosaur would be way better:))
They got Wall-E living character ;/
They are getting World of Color

Disneylanders are usually locals. They are rabid. WDW fans are more spread out around the world and are more lax. The admin of our forum is in England across the ocean! I think that's so cool all these people come here and share the same thoughts: we all love WDW. However, Disneyland forums are like packs of wolves. You touch a small world doll and add Disney characters and they went nuts!!! If you wanna pick on em say "Oh ya, Disneyand had Light Magic." They'll get ed. :D

Why would it hate WDW if it was better, shouldn't it be the opposite. Anyhoo:
1. Our castle is far superior
2. We have 4 parks to their 2
3. WDW is it's own magical environment that is NOT stuffed into a city.
4. WDW has very cool resorts
5. WDW has more restaurants
6. At WDW we don't have to deal with Califormians, only Brazilians....actually that is a negative.
7. We have EE, Kilamanjaro Safari, every ride in EPCOT
8. WDW is a totally immersible experience that can be enjoyed for weeks on end and you still won't see and do everything whereas DL is a 1 or 2 day park, 3 or 4 if you add DCA (which I shall grant).

Sorry all (and I know I'll get blasted for this), but DL has definitely been getting all the love as of late. From a general perspective, DL looks a lot cleaner and better taken care of vs. MK (at least the last time I was at MK back in January). Don't forget all of the different/better things they have vs. MK too -- PotC is a biggie on that list. And man do their monorails kick a$$! They may not have a/c, but they make up for it with their cool futuristic looks!

I've been to both parks several times and I can say that in the DL vs. MK fight, DL wins hands down. It may be smaller and more compact, but they have done wonders with the space they had. The only real complaint I have is their matchbox sized castle! Now that being said, WDW has a plethera of other things to do while DL only has California Adventures. And in DCA there are only a few things worth doing: California Screamin', the original Soarin', Mickey's Fun Wheel, Toy Story Mania, & Grizzly River Run. Our ToT blows their's away hands down!

And speaking of MK, I actually prefer the layout of our Tomorrowland -- nowhere near as crampt. We also still have our CoP too as well as the TTA (I think they called their's the People Mover).

If you compare apples to apples, both parks have really good things going for them. And of course some things are better in one park vs. the other.

You want each park to have their differences. There are several attractions that WDW has that DLR doesn't, and visa versa. I have heard certain CMs from WDW and DLR that may not like the other park for varies reasons.

LOL. It is like we're in high school saying "Ours" and "We have". I have to assume that we are all Disney Park fans here so both parks are "Ours". I get it...one side of the country against the other...I get it but I don't agree with it.

From someone who lives in Arizona and has an annual pass to both parks I can say objectively that there are some things I like about DL's rides/park over WDW and there are some things I think WDW does better. It's a toss up but either way I WIN !!! To get to enjoy both parks is a an absolute joy :)
