Disneyland Croatia Resort

I was thinking of doing a Disney resort in Croatia with two theme parks and two hotels.

Disneyland Park
From the charm of Main Street USA to the whimsy of Mickey's Toontown, explore seven fantastic lands of nostalgia, color, and delight. Let your imagination run free in a magic kingdom where life is a fairy tale and dreams really do come true.
Main Street USA
Once you enter the “Happiest Croatian Place On Earth,” you’ll be transported back to the early 1900s as you stroll along Main Street USA. This thoroughfare is inspired by Walt Disney's boyhood hometown, Marceline, Missouri, United States. You’ll find shops, restaurants, and vehicles that transport you to yesteryear. Be sure and check out the names of the "proprietors" in some of the Main Street windows - these are some of the folks who helped Walt realize his dream of building the original Disneyland in California 60 years ago
Attractions:
1. Disneyland Croatia Railroad Main Street USA- Hop aboard one of Disneyland® Croatia's four bona fide steam-powered locomotives for a relaxing twenty minute jaunt around Disneyland® Croatia with stops at Wild Westsernland, Mickey's Toontown, and Tomorrowland. Between Tomorrowland Station and Main Street USA Station is an exciting trip into New York City and Primeval World.
2. City Hall- Find Guest Relations, your source for almost anything you need while visiting. You can pick up assistive devices here, get a Happy Birthday button, or get help with anything else you can think of.
3. Fire Engine- Ride Disneyland® Croatia's very own fire engine. Ready to rescue tired or hurried feet and whisk them safely to and from Town Square and Cinderella Castle. Presented by Hertz Car Rental.
4. Horse-Drawn Streetcars- The old world meets the new as horse-drawn conveyances share the road with trucks and cars on Main Street USA. There's nothing like a little horse-power to keep you going to and from Town Square and Cinderella Castle. Presented by Hertz Car Rental.
5. Horseless Carriage- This vintage open-air car causes heads to turn as it putters down Main Street USA to and from Town Square and Cinderella Castle. Miraculously, it moves with no horses in sight - because they're all under its hood. Presented by Hertz Car Rental.
6. Omnibus- Get a unique vantage of Main Street USA from this Omnibus that tools gently through the heart of Disneyland® Croatia to and from Town Square and Cinderella Castle. Presented by Hertz Car Rental.
7. Walt Disney Parks & Resorts: The First 60 Magical Years- Celebrate 60 magical years of Disney Parks from it's a small world to Radiator Springs Racers with your favorite Disney characters.
8. Main Street Cinema- Catch a flick starring Mickey, Minnie and the rest of the gang in this old fashioned moviehouse that plays film classics on six different screens.
9. Walt Disney's Parade of Dreams- Celebrate 60 years of the magic of Disney Parks and Walt Disney's dream come true in this 60th Anniversary parade. Your favorite Disney characters wave from a series of fantastically themed floats or dance and sing their way along the parade route accompanied by a host of puppets, dancers, stiltwalkers and acrobats. The floats highlight many classic Disney movies and the memorable characters who inhabit them. Presented by Hasbro.
10. Main Street Electrical Parade- Prepare to be electrified by 500,000 colored lightbulbs in this classic Disney parade. Light up your night and keep your memories bright when this dazzling spectacular winds its way through the heart of Disneyland® Croatia. Presented by IBM.

Maybe not the location, I'm not sure if Europeans would want to go all the way out there. Italy's just next door though- a resort near Venice, which gets thousands of tourists, would be awesome!

Wild Westernland & Critter Country

I am continuing the Disneyland Croatia Resort.

Wild Westernland
Between Adventureland and Critter Country is Wild Westernland, the last outpost of civilization in the Western Hemisphere. Built along the Rivers of Liberty waterway, Wild Westernland's mountain range, dance hall, midway, fort, and rustic buildings, make it easy to transport yourself back to the time of Davy Crockett. Big Thunder Mountain Trail connects Wild Westernland to Critter Country. Wild Westernaland has access to Adventureland and Main Street USA, as well.
Attractions:
1. Toy Story Midway Mania!- FP Grab some 3D glasses, board your ride vehicle, and zip off into a 4D world of exciting, midway-style games. Highlights include playing games featuring your favorite Toy Story characters, using your spring action shooter to launch darts and other objects at targets, and comepeting for the high score of the day. It is never the same experience twice!
2. Diamond Horseshoe Saloon Revue- Go back to the days of medicine shows in this down-home, joke-filled stage show. Prsented by Smucker's.
3. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad- FP Thunder through mine shafts, bat caves and caverns, past falling rocks and water in this twisting, turning mine train roller coaster. Enjoy the beautiful stalagmites, stalactites and other natural wonders, but don't feed the coyotes and rattlers!
4. Big Thunder Mountain Stagecoach Ride- Ride through the Big Thunder Mountain Valley in a hand-crafted stagecoach.
5. Mark Twain Riverboat- Enjoy a little southern hospitality along the mighty Rivers of Liberty, watching the world go by from the deck of the gracious paddle wheeled Mark Twain.

9. Disneyland Croatia Railroad Wild Westernland- Hop aboard one of Disneyland® Croatia's four bona fide steam-powered locomotives for a relaxing twenty minute jaunt around Disneyland® Croatia with stops at Mickey's Toontown, Tomorrowland, and Main Street USA. The journey in search of Nemo includes familiar characters such as Dory, Bruce, Marlin, Squirt and Crush. These deep-sea friends inhabit a variety of vibrant vignettes, including the actual aquarium containing more than 65 species of marine life. In the musical finale, Nemo is happily reunited with his class and friends. Presented by StarKist Tuna.
5. O Canada!- Walt Disney Imagineers collaborated with the Canadian Tourism Commission to make this Circle-Vision 360 film, which includes beautiful orchestration and images, and Canadian Idol winner Eva Avila singing the music of "O Canada!" The film includes the nation's capital, Ottawa, with its Parliament buildings and Rideau Canal, Toronto, with its nightlife and film festivals, and Quebec City, the cradle of French civilization in Canada. I believe Critter Country is a celebration of animals. Fish and dinosaurs are animals. O Canada! is in Critter Country because there is many widlife (animals) in Canada. The Native American War Canoes are a rethemed Davy Crockett's Explorer Canoes, which is in Disneyland's Critter Country.

It seems that you just throw stuff together, and HOPE it might go together. (Sorry to say) I think yu have good ideas, butyou cloud them too much with an over poplation of attractions (most of which dont fit)

Why not try and think of your own ideas? Just saying.

As said before, it seems that sme ideas, like the Seas with Nemo and Friends, O Canada and CTX fit in. Yes they are "animals"but they arent "critters", Dinosaurs are scaled reptiles, Fish are well fish, and O Canada just kinda fits in... Sorry to say.

Im just tellling you what i think :)

This must be at least the fifth resort you've done now, all with attractions just bunched together- and given new names to match the country's language.

Just wondering... how is your Hawaiian resort coming on? And you're Barcelona resort?

I would have to agree with Charlie D and MaterA113. It seems that you've taken Disneyland in Anahiem and added a bunch of rides from EPCOT and Animal Kingdom. I dont think it would be as bad though if the attractions fit with the land they are in

^You can leave him alone on that. The omnibus is already on Main Street.

I third this notion.

No offense, but every time you do one of these threads it seems that you always have the same exact park with little additions and subtractions here and there. Like this one doesn't have Muppet*Vision on Main Street or Journey into Imagination with Minnie replacing Dream Finder. But it has pretty much everything else that you already have in your other Disneyland threads. Perhaps you should try coming up with some ideas of your own. I know I like to copy and paste attractions A LOT but I at least try to change them up a lot if not a little bit.

I also agree a lot with others on saying how much Nemo and Dinosaurs don't fit in with the rest of Critter Country.

First of all Critter Country is supposed to be held in the postwar American south. Thus it is held sometime after the Civil War in some laid back little oasis. Now I admit Pooh kind of takes you out of the atmosphere as it is something totally different that doesn't even take place in America (The United Kingdom I believe), but you must remember that the Country Bears were there first, and they are more "critter" and "country" than Pooh will ever be. Critters are animals yes, but they qualify primarily around rabbits, bears, foxes, alligators, geese, owls, possums, turtles, bluebirds, skunks, raccoons, porcupines, pigs, dogs, cats, frogs, moose, buffalo, deer, and vultures. If you didn't notice those are all the animals that appear in Critter Country at Disneyland in California as it was before the heavily-despised "Invasion of Winnie the Pooh and Tigger Too."

Now let's take a look at Nemo. Nemo and Marlin and Dory and all those other saltwater friends of theirs' don't really qualify in the deep backwoods south category. Neither do the dinosaurs of Countdown to Extinction. Especially when the later is held in the far distant future. The Canada thing doesn't really work either. I do give you credit about the Indian War Canoes, our Critter Country here in California does have the Davy Crockett Explorer Canoes which used to be known as the Indian War Canoes.

Just think of how your Critter Country would clash with itself: In one section you'd have this deep and lush backwoods oasis filled with cabins and little dwellings belonging to personified swamp animals. And then you have a really beautiful mountain standing right there in front of you with a "georgeous waterfall" dumping logs down into a briar patch. Almost a picture perfect kind of environment. But then you suddenly come face to face with a futuristic lab of the middle/late 2000's. A giant and heavily realistic dinosaur statue stands in front of you looking out upon a cartoonish forest of the Old South. Then you make a left turn and find yourself looking at a jumping waterfall-type-fountain-thing inhabited by some squawking seagulls which appeared from nowhere. And there's a statue-sculpture-thing of Nemo very close to it. And then there's the war canoe docks which lie just a few feet ahead of you. Can you imagine how this would look alongside the Rivers of America? A combination between Future World, Dinoland U.S.A., and Critter Country?

Also I don't really get the concept of Toy Story Midway Mania in Frontierland. They didn't have midways back then, nor did they have space rangers, or aliens, or 3D videogames and television, or slinky dogs, or bo peeps, or three-headed sheep, or green dinosaurs, or Mr. Potato Heads, or...I'm pretty sure you get my point. Sure Woody, Jessie, Bullseye, and Stinking Pete are western characters but still they really don't fit in AT ALL.

Sorry if I offended you or anything like that, I'm just giving you my two cents to help you grow as an Imagineer. :animwink:

I believe that Toy Story Midway Mania! is an enhanced version of the Frontierland Shootin' Arcade.

I have to agree with everybody else here - I see no difference at all between your other resorts and this one. You've basically just cloned the Disneyland theme park, added in a few attractions to the point that it is incredibly crowded, and then posted it. Some of it is incredibly incohesive - I can't imagine Nemo and CTX in Critter Country, and likewise TSMM in Frontierland. They just don't fit in, even after you've tried to justify them.
I'd much rather see your attempts at Disney Studios Croatia, since it would be better to see your own ideas for lands, rides and so on as opposed to just seeing the same old thing all the time.

Okay, I know that this is your resort and all but I'm going to take what you wrote and write it again. I'm not in favor of all these ideas but this is what I would add or take out of your park if I were in your position. Again I'm not taking credit for these ideas, I'm just taking your original list Kermit and trying to show how you can fix it up a bit. :)

Main Street, U.S.A. (City Hall doesn't really count as an attraction, sorry)

1. Disneyland Croatia Railroad
2. Main Street Vehicles (All the cars and carriages you had listed)
3. Walt Disney Parks & Resorts: The First 60 Magical Years
4. Walt Disney's Parade of Dreams
5. Main Street Electrical Parade

Adventureland

1. Penguin Tiki Room (Why does it have to be "Under New Management" when it is an original attraction?)
2. Jungle Cruise
3. Indiana Jones Ride- Ok I've red your ride through for the Atlantis-themed Indy adventure on VF and it was kind of confusing. The thing that primarily needs to be fixed is that you need one location for the ride not a whole bunch of places around the world that you get to in two seconds. Also the G.I. Joe action figure part...I don't even know how that happened. Try coming up with a new Indy adventure where he's looking for some treasure within a volcano or a glacier. The possibilities really are endless here Kermit.
4. Swiss Family Treehouse
5. The Haunted Mansion- You'd have to make this fit in Adventureland very well, or else you would never hear the end of it from the purists.

Wild Westernland

1. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad- A lot can be done with this attraction, why not add snow to the peaks and retheme it to another part of the frontier, perhaps the Rocky Mountains? The wilderness and valleys of the Pacific Northwest?
2. Frontierland Shooting Gallery (Not TSMM)
3. Diamond Horseshoe Saloon (Why not come up with a new name for it?)
4. Mark Twain Riverboat
5. Rainbow Mountain Stagecoach
6. Disneyland Croatia Railroad
7. Sailing Ship Navajo (I like the name but does it really make sense?)

Critter Country

1. Splash Mountain
2. Country Bear Jamboree
3. Beaver Bros. Explorer Canoes (Or just move the Indian War Canoes to Wild Westernland)

Fantasyland

I'm sorry but I think you really need to redo Fantasyland buddy...first of all we really don't need a Cinderella's Castle. Second I think the Matterhorn should remain unique to the original Disneyland in California. And third you need to come up with some new dark rides of your own. Also Maelstrom would make a better fit in its own little viking land, not Fantasyland.

Toontown

Same thing with your Fantasyland plans and ideas.

And as for Tomorrowland use everything that I told you in mind when creating it.
