Disneyland Croatia Resort (Open Brainstorming)

Okay, I know that this is your resort and all but I'm going to take what you wrote and write it again. I'm not in favor of all these ideas but this is what I would add or take out of your park if I were in your position. Again I'm not taking credit for these ideas, I'm just taking your original list Kermit and trying to show how you can fix it up a bit.

Main Street, U.S.A. (City Hall doesn't really count as an attraction, sorry)

Adventureland

1. Penguin Tiki Room (Why does it have to be "Under New Management" when it is an original attraction?)

3. Indiana Jones Ride- Ok I've red your ride through for the Atlantis-themed Indy adventure on VF and it was kind of confusing. The thing that primarily needs to be fixed is that you need one location for the ride not a whole bunch of places around the world that you get to in two seconds. Also the G.I. Joe action figure part...I don't even know how that happened. Try coming up with a new Indy adventure where he's looking for some treasure within a volcano or a glacier. The possibilities really are endless here Kermit.
4. Swiss Family Treehouse
5. The Haunted Mansion- You'd have to make this fit in Adventureland very well, or else you would never hear the end of it from the purists.

Wild Westernland

1. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad- A lot can be done with this attraction, why not add snow to the peaks and retheme it to another part of the frontier, perhaps the Rocky Mountains? The wilderness and valleys of the Pacific Northwest?
2. Frontierland Shooting Gallery (Not TSMM)
3. Diamond Horseshoe Saloon (Why not come up with a new name for it?)
4. Mark Twain Riverboat
5. Rainbow Mountain Stagecoach
6. Disneyland Croatia Railroad
7. Sailing Ship Navajo (I like the name but does it really make sense?)

Critter Country

1. Splash Mountain
2. Country Bear Jamboree
3. Beaver Bros. Explorer Canoes (Or just move the Indian War Canoes to Wild Westernland)

Fantasyland

I'm sorry but I think you really need to redo Fantasyland buddy...first of all we really don't need a Cinderella's Castle. Second I think the Matterhorn should remain unique to the original Disneyland in California. And third you need to come up with some new dark rides of your own. Also Maelstrom would make a better fit in its own little viking land, not Fantasyland.

Toontown

Same thing with your Fantasyland plans and ideas.

And as for Tomorrowland use everything that I told you in mind when creating it.

Why did you take out Pirates of the Caribbean? What castle would you use for this resort? Why do you want to be my "Jiminy Cricket?"

I'm not trying to be your conscience Kermit, I'm just trying to give you some suggestions.

Also I was in a hurry typing that so I didn't catch Pirates of the Caribbean. Just add to the roster of Adventureland.

I would come up with an original castle for this park. Sleeping Beauty Castle has been used three times (The one in Disneyland Paris was redesigned and made all fancy) and Cinderella Castle has been used twice. Come up with your own castle, there are so many Disney princesses that you can use! Let's see you have Belle (You can have the Beast's Library as a little walk-through thing) and Snow White! If you really want to spice things up a notch take one of the other princesses and make a castle based around them. Picture Prince Eric's (Only it would be Ariel's) Castle overlooking Main Street alongside a serene lagoon.

And here's my two cents on your Tomorrowland ideas:

Well really it's just a big mesh up of Tomorrowland, Discoveryland, and Future World. I feel really weird reading the attraction roster for some reason. Yes I am weird I know that, but it just makes me feel like something's not right...try coming up with some of your own ideas pal! You're an Imagineer you can do it!

I would have to agree with Charlie D and MaterA113. It seems that you've taken Disneyland in Anahiem and added a bunch of rides from EPCOT and Animal Kingdom. I dont think it would be as bad though if the attractions fit with the land they are in

This one isnt that bad either. I would just like to ask what the point of making the tiki room the penguin tiki room. I dont see how that would fit with penguins in a Hawaiian/tropical building. I would like to hear more about the Indiana Jones ride. The theme seems to flow pretty good until we get to Gran fiesta tour and Reflections of China. I dont get why those are there. Same with Haunted Mansion. Unless it's themed to a jungle or some other mini section of the land. It just doesnt seem to fit.

WILD WESTERNLAND
To start off, why not just keep the frontierland name that everyone already knows? Also, i think TSMM would fit in Disney Studios Croatia rather than "Wild Westernland". Lastly, it would probably fit more if the stagecoaches were changed to Big Thunder Mountain instead of Rainbow Mountain just because it would be easier with the one mountain(yes i understand that its a homage to the Disneyland original). Other than that, this land seems ok.

Thanks for the comments. The Penguin Tiki Room was an abandoned concept for Tokyo Disneyland. I had the Croatian ride names instead of English because the ride names in EuroDisneyland are in French. TSMM in Wild Westernland was an idea I got from another guy's idea for Disneyland Canada. He put that ride in his Wild Westernland. CTX and Nemo fit into CC becuase I believe the word "critter" is a synonym for "animal." Dinosaurs and fish are animals, so they should belong in CC. In Tomorrowland, the theme is the future (Carousel of Progress, WEDWay PeopleMover), space (Space Mountain, Cosmo Jets), and transportation (World of Motion, Skyway). Other attractions in the area were modified (Meet the World, Eternal Seas) to fit the Croatian culture.

Hey Kermit! I guess I want to put in my suggestions.

Ok, first thing's first- I agree with everyone else. All you are doing is taking rides from other parks and bunching them together. Maybe one thing you should do is take some rides that have already been created and put them in, but also add your own rides. One thing you could do (with permission from the users) is put attractions in that were created on this forum.

Here are my comments on each land:

Mainstreet: this place is pretty much good! One thing though is maybe you could create some new type of transportation to be used along it, instead of the usual omnibus, fire truck, trolly, and horseless carriage. Also, how will Mainstreet be themed? Is it like Main Street USA? Or will you theme it to look like an old Croatian street? What you put in it truly depends on how you will theme it.

Adventureland: OK, first of all, I would like to (once again) stress theming. Everything you put into this land fits "adventure", but not all types of "adventure". If I was you, I would limit what I put in for maybe one or two themes. For example, I would make a theme jungle, where I put in jungle cruise, Tarzan Rocks!, Indiana Jones, Swiss Family Tree house, and Haunted Mansion. I may also want to put Flying Carpets in there, but maybe along the edge..."outside" of the jungle. Pirates of the Caribbean is a great ride, but may not fit in Adventureland. Of course, there are many ways you could do this, not to mention it would be great if there were some original ideas in this land!!

Wild Westernland: I see where you are going with Toy Story Midway Mania. Maybe one thing I would do is change it to maybe a western-version of it, calling it "Woody's Shooting Gallery" or something, where it can still be 3D and all, but it fits the land. Also, instead of Diamond Horseshoe revue and Fantasmic!, you could put something new and original. I would also love to see a new concept with the theme for what "western" really is. You need to remember that this is in Croatia, which means that an American frontier may not be the same as a Croatian frontier. Do some research, I'd be excited to see a whole new theme.

Critter Country: here's the deal- I agree with everyone else. CTX and Nemo do NOT go well with the theme of Critter Country. But, like you say, they probably can still go together with Splash Mountain, etc. Maybe you could change it to something new? What I'm saying is, make a new land, not Critter Country, but something entirely new that can connect it all together.

Fantasyland: :hurl: this needs work. No offense, but [1] there is too much going on, too many attractions compared to the rest of the park, and [2] nothing in here is original. Fantasyland creates a perfect opportunity for creating something new and creative, so try making your own stuff for this, or improving on things you have chosen. Have fun with it!

Mickey's Toontown: like Fantasyland, have fun with this one, don't make a usual toontown, try new things. You could probably find a new setting for the characters to live in, or some new environment to meet them. With Toontown, you have ultimate blue sky!!

Tomorrowland: I'm not going to put much in this one. You have good theming, but nothing original. Try new things, design new attractions. You don't just need what are at other parks, I would love to see originality.

As you can see, imagineering requires more than just putting rides together. As an imagineer, I would suggest the following things:

1)Theme- an entire land could change in mood, tone, and style just by a sudden change in theme. Think about it.

2)Originality- try making new things. There isn't much fun in imagineering if you don't have part of your mind in your projects. You are very creative, I bet you could find something cool to put in.

3)Balance- try not to put a huge amount of attractions in one land, but barely any in another. Also, avoid too much dining. I'm noticing 5-10 restaurants per land!!! Maybe you should limit it to 1 or 2, and work on fun ideas to go with the land

4)Detail :veryconfu- Haha I'm not sure what to call that one. Don't just design attractions and put them into lands. This really goes with theme. I would love to see detail in gardens, trashcans, food carts, bathrooms, fountains, etc.

I don't mean to offend you at all with any of my comments. These are just things to think about when you make new things. They are more meant to give you wiggle room and suggestions on improving, like constructive criticism. Have fun with this project!!
