Politics Disneyland Closure: Another six months?

Locations where the wearing of masks is a necessary requirement are known to the public and how to properly wear a mask has been widely explained. Any one going to a Disney property has received information about masks at nauseam. For the little ones it can prove to be a difficult learning experience how to wear a mask properly, instinct being to get the annoying thing off the face. Hell, a lot of adults have that issue. Maybe if wearing a mask is that difficult an issue it would be better to hold off going to a Disney property. One thing is for sure the mask requirements are not going away any time soon and it's not just Disney. I say good job to the CM's for adhering to the rules across the board. Guests should not be taking out frustrations on CM's doing their jobs.

So how long do we think these mask rules will be in place? I can deal with the social distancing and everything else but I’m not willing to pay Disney prices and be in a mask all day. So are we talking Spring 21? Summer 21? 2022?

No end date? There will be a vaccine soon and the president has promised every American can be vaccinated by April of 2021 if they choose to be.

Exactly. The mask issue goes away when results from vaccination actually occur and there have been no projections on that. The availability of a vaccine is all that has been projected. Right now it looks fairly open ended.

Masks aren't that bad. They're a fashion statement and can conceal an ugly face. Wearing for an extended period of time can suck, but when you remove them, it's euphoric.

Here in the Disneyland area we had a fun earthquake. So what's the deal? Both shuttered parks to be fully inspected head to toe at this point?

Ok, so how about Japan, South Korea, China, Philippines, etc.? Heck, the Philippines even had early mask orders and still have issues. One country succeeding doesn't mean masks worked.

America would still be doing really badly even if you eliminated those two states. Thankfully doing so isn’t how logic works.

Good. That’s kind of the point of why other countries decided to do strong lockdowns for a couple months. To keep it from spreading everywhere so that we could get back to 95% normal life with a very low chance of catching it.

It's obviously far too dangerous to reopen Disneyland in this current Covidian climate. While every other park around the world reopens safely with masked spaced-out guests and creepy propaganda playing on the PA system encouraging you to keep away from other people, with absolutely no Supre Spreader Event whatsoever linked to it as the Covidian numbers diminish and a Warp Speed Vaccine comes soon to a clinic near you...clearly, it's just reckless and heartless to reopen the Disneyland parks. What say you? You're the ultimate judge.

You gotta realize by now that every topic that discusses park reopening will end up this way. Right? As to the question at hand, no I do not think the parks should remain closed another 6 months if they can be opened in a safe manner as WDW appears to have done.
