The Big Al statue raised suspicions, and it's been hinted at (though I don't know how trustworthy the source) over on the CBJ thread on the WDW side of the forum.Has this actually been rumored?

Are the bears missed by guests in California?DCA receives the Country Bears, Disneyland receives the People Mover. The two legends return.
I don't know how much the average guest cares, but I'd love for their return. Anything Marc Davis is welcome by me.Are the bears missed by guests in California?
Agreed. I wonder if there's any way to coax Matt Ouimet back on to the Disney payroll? I don't think any other current Disney exec is up to the task, or even knows what the old standards were that they aren't living up to currently.
No kidding.

I'm aware of the Big Al statue in DCA, but I hadn't heard the rumor of a return of the show or even the characters in any meaningful way at DLR. I haven't paid attention to the WDW CBJ thread, but I'll have to check it out.The Big Al statue raised suspicions, and it's been hinted at (though I don't know how trustworthy the source) over on the CBJ thread on the WDW side of the forum.
Good. As a WDW person, I personally think every resort should have the country bears somewhere
Unless the Parks are closed it won't be cancelled. What is more likely is plans would be scaled back if there is a strike.I'm starting to feel that the 70th anniversary of DIsneyland may be cancelled due of the possible DIsneyland cast members strike.

Unfortunately I'm not sure where they would go that would be ready by the 70th that wouldn't have already been discovered by the normal DLR construction vloggers. Unless Pooh gets evicted during the CC refurb and replaced by the CBs, but that wouldn't be a show.
I don't want that to happen, so Bob Iger needs to do something about it to prevent that!Unless the Parks are closed it won't be cancelled. What is more likely is plans would be scaled back if there is a strike.
Agreed, but the show would never return as it was. It'd likely be the new Disney-Musicified version WDW is getting.
Still better then the Pooh ride though, and would be a welcome addition to the resort.
Yes, I was gonna comment on your post, it would require a rename in my opinion, that is just as good as any.Country Bear River Run Rapids Revue
Nothing you can do, so I wouldn't put any worry over it.I don't want that to happen, so Bob Iger needs to do something about it to prevent that!
Look, I'll try not to say it's the end of Disneyland, but Bob Iger and his business cronies better hurry up and make a fair deal before this happens!Nothing you can do, so I wouldn't put any worry over it.
And what would a "fair deal" look like to you?Look, I'll try not to say it's the end of Disneyland, but Bob Iger and his business cronies better hurry up and make a fair deal before this happens!
