I read somewhere one of the execs said true disney fans shouldn't have a problem with the price. that's just offensive to me.

Heck I signed up with D64 the first day... :animwink:

I still keep trying to figure out where the whole "You are not a true fan" thing is coming from..it seems like the people who are not liking the whole "23" thing are saying that, not Disney.

I can understand the fact that people think it is too expensive and that you do not get any perks for joining but no one is saying that you are not a true Disney fan if you do not join.

I also think that if this was just an all EPCOT or AC club with the same things being offered that all the people who do not like this would not have a problem with it...regardless of the price or the lack of perks.

This is just my thoughts on the whole thing..I am not a "23" member and do not plan on joining..I am just trying to figure out the whole hate thing and not a true fan thing about it.

I think it's because they said it was a club for true Disney fans or something like that. Not that they said you weren't a true fan, if you didn't join.

I'm not hardcore mad about it at all, but if this is what Disney thinks of their fanbase, D23 (at least as it has been presented so far) is a complete slap to the face. This is what they think we like? They totally forgot about the theme park enthusiasts who seemingly make up the majority of the Disney fanbase to begin with.
