Disney World jabs in Shrek 4!

I think your wrong Timmay. I am a real Disney fan and I have opening-day souvenirs from Epcot. I know what all of the windows on Main Street say. I know where all the Hidden MIckeys are on the Great Movie Ride. And I can tell you what all the trash cans look like in WDW. So I know what it means to be real Disney fan. If you laugh at Disney and make fun of Disney you cannot be a fan. This is why Universal is making more money than Disney now. because of jokes like in Shrek.

Nothing's in danger here. If a movie makes a joke about Disney, it's not time to start raising the drawbridge, lowering the portcullis, and planting AA towers around Cinderella's Castle. It's a movie. One that's not really all that relevant.

I'm getting a vague sense of overcompensation and, like Ziffell said, insecurity from you over something. What's this about, man?

Very true. If you really wanna talk about someone bad-mouthing Disney go watch a few episodes of The Simpson's!
I'm actually a big fan of the Simpsons, and I love the EFCOT episode as well as the new attraction. "Great Moments With Mr. Eisner" lol.

Oh, and from the trailer, doesn't anyone think the in-your-face slow motion shots all up in there look like they are just imitating what they did in Shrek 4-D?
Yes, but Shrek 4-D did take them from the original Shrek, so I can't really complain there.

Shrek 2 is one of my favorite animated films ever. The introduction scene with Puss in Boots really got the movie going, and it just kept getting better and funnier for me from that point. I loved the Fairy Godmother and the magic potion storyline (and the quick spoof of Lumiere and Cogsworth!). I also loved the Dronkey babies.

I was not thrilled with Shrek the Third. The film did have some fun moments, though. I did think the Princess scenes were great fun, and I loved Amy Sedaris as Cinderella and Amy Poehler as Snow White.

I'm looking forward to Shrek 4--probably will see it today!

Disney doesn't seem to have a problem with Shrek, as ABC airs the Shrek Christmas Special. It may actually be keeping the Disney "brand" in people's minds.

Wow dude... you sound like a five year old in this. Just because you can describe trash cans and was at EPCOT opening day means absolutely NOTHING. Also, just because some people(including me) find in-jokes about disney in competitor's movies funny doesnt mean that we cant be Disney fans. I personally think that a true Disney fan is someone who enjoys Disney parks/movies and continue to enjoy them throughout their lives. Take it as you want but saying things like this is just douchey(can say that here? IF not, I apologize and will change it :D)

I am not excited about the 4th movie considering how bad the 3rd one was. I think I will watch it, though.

If the 3rd one is crappy, why would you see the fourth one? It's like seeing The Lost World: Jurassic Park, and then seeing Jurassic Park 3. Why give these movie companies your hard earned cash to see a crappy sequel when the last sequel was, by your own admission, bad?

Too true. Talking Head, the impression that I got after reading your post was that of somebody trying to prove that they're a huge Disney fan. I love Disney, but I also laughed at the South Park episode where they made fun of the Jonas Brothers :hurl: and their chastity rings (or whatever they called them). Every company makes bad decisions; the Jonas Brothers being one of them for Disney regardless of how much money they rake in from teeny boppers.

Nobody, and no company, is infallable and being able to see the humor in something you love is OK. I feel like a therapist right now.

You cannot like the Disney-hate jokes if you are a true Disney-fan. I'm sorry you're not a true fan. You probably dont even believe in Disney magic!!

Are you kidding me????Last time I checked there were no rules to being a "True Disney-fan". Just because someone finds humor in jabs taken at Disney, does not make them any less of a fan.....

Wow so you are saying that because you own pieces of memorabilia, or you know where all the hidden Mickey's on the great movie ride are, and you can identify trash cans that you are a "Real Disney Fan".. Universal is not making more more than Disney Right now....Being a fan does not mean you cannot laugh at Disney jabs...I consider my self a Disney fan.... I even took a job to be closer to the "Magic".. I do not own opening day souvenirs, I cannot locate any hidden Mickey's, does that mean I cannot be considered a true Disney fan? Let me guess, you are the type of know it all guest that thinks they know more than the average guest...Its people like you who give people like us a bad reputation... Try not to take things so seriously... If jokes about a company bother you then I think you need to find a way to thicken your skin...

Look maybe you need to learn more about the parks. Learn to recognize all the trash cans (WASTE PLEASE), study the construction walls, teach yourself why the parks today are the best ever. Then you will be a true Disneyfan, whether you laugh at Shrek or not.

Unless you have been sarcastic the whole time, which I doubt, you have now officially entered into the realm of troll.

So please, everyone:

Wow.... Really... So to be a true fan of something you have to know every small detail? I really do not think that is the case to be a fan of anything... Especially a theme park or a company.... So all you seem to have done was read trivia books and went on hidden Mickey searches...Oh and own original memorabilia...So if someone is not as well versed as you are in Disney knowledge but love the parks they cannot be a "true fan"?

Wow. Just wow.
Clearly you don't even know how to laugh at yourself.
Luckily, everyone who reads your posts can do that for you. :D

... the parks are not the best today.

And I'd argue that Shrek 3 is probably the worst animated movie ever.
