Do they still give you a beer at the end of the race or is that what the gift card is for?

They did both last year. One free beer and card. But it was Bud or Bud Light. I passed.

They also had red and white wine in bizarre pre-packaged shrink-wrapped plastic wine glasses. I had the red, and it was every bit as terrible as you're imagining it would be (Did that stop me from finishing it? Of course not!)They did both last year. One free beer and card. When I went through the chute, they were telling everybody to take as many wines and beers as they wanted, despite 'officially' only getting one with registration. I saw a few people with 4-5 drinks in their arms
EDIT: They also have soda at the finish for non-drinkers/runners under 21

I'm in (for the half and 5K)! Signed up using the AP link on Wednesday...I need to redeem myself after running a PW half marathon at this race last year (with an injury...so my goal for this year is to make it to the start HEALTHY!).
Can't wait!! And VERY curious to see how quickly it fills.

You get the gift card plus a beer/drink in addition to the standard PowerAde and water.
And, yes, they were encouraging you to take multiple beer/wine, even when I finished up near the beginning of the group.
The afterparty is always such a ton of fun! The park is empty. Soarin and TT I did each 3 times. The spent the next few hours in World Showcase...I did two laps grabbing food and drink. I loved it. Oh and lots of fun princess/ prince characters were out.

Like the rest of you, I can't believe it is filling so fast this year. I suppose people are worried that it will suddenly close out so everyone who thinks they MIGHT be able to schedule it is jumping in. After missing out on last year, I'm pretty darn pumped for this one. Can't wait to meet some of you folks.

Myself, my sister and my boyfriend are all signed up.... Aaaaaah so excited! First half marathon, first rundisney event oh and two and a half weeks in Disney to top it off...

Get on that, cuz (Brandi?)! Honestly I'm more shocked that the 5K is 50% full already. I know these are smaller races compared to Princess, etc., but STILL.
