Disney Wine and Dine Half Marathon

Thanks for the heads up! Do they typically post a link on the DVC site? I never seem to receive the pre-reg emails. I'm terrified to see the cost this year - I can't believe Tower is up to $145!

Links do get posted on the DVC member site, as well as on the Visa/AP sites when applicable. However, like any Disney web site related "thing", they may be a day or two behind. It's always good to keep an eye out for anything that gets reposted online elsewhere. (Like here for instance.....)

And the 5K went up $5. Also, is the price increase after a certain date new for the 5K? I don't remember that from last year.

In the "participants will receive" section it says a short-sleeved tech shirt, but it is a link and when you click on it a size chart opens up that says it's a long-sleeved tech shirt. So which is it? :p

How quick does this fill up? My assistant is trying to talk me into running this.
Running to my mail box is even to far for me.
I can't decide if I should just sign up or avoid.

I'm hoping it's short sleeve, but the last two years have been long sleeved. So I'm going to guess it's actually long sleeved.

I don't really remember How quickly it filled up but I don't recall it happening super fast. Let's try and answer your real question, "should I run it?" Why don't you download a Couch-to-5K training program and see how well you do? If you can follow through on the training and it feels good to you, you may answer your question.

Usually it takes a little while to fill up. This year, it may happen a little quicker since I think it is an anniversary year. As for your second question, only you can answer that. I agree with @Banzai though. Try Couch to 5k. Even if you decide running a half isn't for you, they always have a 5k that weekend as well. 13.1 miles is quite an accomplishment and it takes commitment to train for it. You have to want it and if you don't want it, it makes training for a race like that pretty tough.

The only time I got a long sleeve was got the Full marathon. Every other Disney race I've ever run was short sleeve.

So who's signing up tomorrow? I will be at my computer shortly after registration opens. Unfortunately my quest for a second C2C will not happens since the Disneyland 1/2 sold out within hours and I was unable to register. Ya--I was a little Pi$$ed about it may have been a good thing. I have a feeling we'll be traveling to CA next year for the Avengers 1/2 marathon. My husband is a Superhero freak and I know he'll want to do this!

I'm in! Can't pass up on my 5th W&D race. Hope the pre-registration doesn't fill up too quickly tomorrow - I'll be typing in my info as fast as possible!

@fmingo36 - Yep we will be there as long as we can get in! Bummer you couldn't get into the Disneyland Half. I think we will be trying for C2C in 2016 with the marathon and the Avengers Half. We will have to make plans for dinner together at least one of the nights! Yay! We will probably make a long weekend of it and fly down on Thursday night and leave Monday night. Not totally sure yet.

I believe the Tink half was a magenta/burgundy colored long sleeve this year. At least I saw a few of those walking around during princess weekend.
