I think I'm registered... Received the confirmation numbers and the charges are already pending on the credit card, but when I click on the link for the receipt it's giving me an unauthorized user error. Called Active and the woman found us in the system and confirmed if I had the numbers, I was good. So crossing my fingers it worked!

Potentially stupid question, is entry to the Finish Line party only included in the Half Marathon registration? Or would registering for the 5k get you access too? I ask before there's no option to buy tickets on the 5k registration page.

The afterparty is included in the Half Marathon registration only. 5k runners and non runners need to buy a ticket.

And guess what--I registered today too for the Half and 5k. I'm an addict.

Oh, and by the way, I also signed up for Tough Mudder Central Florida on Sunday the 9th. Anyone else???! LOL

My husband and I are officially registered!!! No, I'm not a DVD member or AP holder but my friend is AP pass holder and sent me the link. I hope the Pre-registration Police don't find out ;) . I owe her BIG time. So excited--first Disney race in 2 years and I LOVE the Food & Wine Festival. Even though I don't get to run through the castle, I honestly think this is my favorite race.

I think it might be. Dan and I are also going to do the 5k but will register for that much later.

I may have to do that too--not sure yet because the girls are doing the kids races and we still need time for the parks.

Is this the only Disney 1/2 marathon where this is no official "extra" challenge now?
Tink has a 10K and 5K, but no extra bling for doing any combination of races, and the new Avengers race will only have an accompanying 5K without any extra challenges

Side note - maybe it's just because I've run 10+ marathons (including multiple Goofys/Dopey), but I really don't think that a 10K + Half is that much of a "challenge". If you're well-trained for the Half, you should be able to complete it without any issues. But those events sure are popular, so I'm sure Disney knows what they're doing!

Can anyone tell me if Disney historically has offered room discounts to those participating? And if so, do you know the discount? Preferably for the Deluxe Resorts. Thanks!
Can't wait til 3/4!!!

There is always some type of discount for host hotels but it's really not that much (granted, every little bit of savings is good at Disney) and sometimes there are even better deals out there so do your research before you book anything.

At least 2 of the 3 Epcot Deluxe Resorts are always a host Resort. It's a nice cool down walk after the race.

And if the discount isn't deep enough, check out Swan/Dolphin. They ALWAYS have special rates out, so you can enjoy a Deluxe Resort at a "moderate" price.

I'm booked too, cannot wait. As said above, even though you do not run through MK, this is by FAR my favorite Disney Race. The theme, course, time of night, and Epcot afterparty really make it worthwhile.

The big discounts for these events is usually associated with the park tickets. Hotels may have a slight discount with them, but often you can do better with a general public discount. Keep in mind that booking with runDisney is a package booking, even if you only book the room (it's possible to do a room only package) so are subject to the same cancellation, payment and modification policies as a package deal.
