Disney Wine and Dine Half Marathon

I've never made it past Mexico or UK for the party. Anything worth seeing out yonder? A band on the stage maybe?
I don't remember seeing anything especially noteworthy. There was a handful of interesting characters with no waits, and all of the food kiosks were open, but pretty much everything else was shuttered for the night (including the exit-through-the-giftshop-shops in Norway)

It was fun to wander around some of the pavilions completely alone, but the loud Top-20 party music sort of took away some of the atmosphere in the quiet hidden corners

Brandi is in at 92%! :)

Now she has to find a 10K to get us in a decent corral. :cautious:
Good luck to her. We don't have many 10Ks around here...I used a 10-miler time from last year that I'm hoping to beat this year, but I'm just coming off of bronchitis and the race is at the end of April, so...??? Still hoping to beat that time but I'm not as confident now.

I have two friends on the fence and I sent them a message saying" Do it NOW' or you're out.

This is just insane! 2 days to sell out a race with 12,000-14,000 runners! I remember the first time I registered for a Disney race, I registered for it when I did because I was more concerned with the price increase than it selling out. I don't think ANY Disney race ever gets tot the point where the price increases anymore.

I was the same way! I'd save up the money and wait until just before the price increase to sign up. Now if you're not at the computer at 12:00 precisely, you're out of luck. I don't even know why they bother tiering the pricing anymore. The registration process is more stressful than the actual event.

Watch next year it'll be up to $250 or something even more insane than it is now. I'm doing the Space Coast Half a few weeks after W&D and it was a mere $85. Seems like chump change when you compare to Disney now. It's surely evolved from when I started with them in 2007.

Last year didn't sell out in a few days did it?
I don't know when it sold out but I signed up for it on April 30. I don't remember how full it was when I signed up.

ETA: I looked back through this thread and it looks like it filled up on May 13.

At least it took 27 hours to sell out, so if you wanted to register you could. Unlike the DL races where you must be on a computer at noon, and even then you may not get in.

I'm just so excited to be participating in my first Disney run!!! It's thrilling that I'm going to run that sold out so quickly. It's been a dream of mine for a few years but dates never worked out. This year we planned around W&D 1/2 :). Next...to decide on a costume & hopefully make a few friends on here to meet up with since I'll be attending solo :)

:-( I didn't do it fast enough. Is there no chance? What about the run disney agents?

They have something listed about running for charities but no charities listed.
