Disney Visa Card

I've been a Disney Visa member since as long as I can remember. I think it was my first credit card. But now it's our only card, we charge everything to it. We try to pay it off right away. As others have said, that's a great way to use it. We like having points stored up for future trips, it makes a nice bonus. We've used the perks before - discounts on tours, discounts in shops, photo pass shot at Epcot, bonus points, etc. It also doesn't hurt that the card is really cute, ha. :o

Anyways, I think it's worth it, but everyone is different. I looked into upgrading to the premium card, and it wasn't worth it for us based on our expenses. But I love the basic card and will probably always have it unless changes are made that don't make sense for us to keep it anymore.

Hi All!

I think this may be my first post here! My husband just received an offer for the premium card...the one with the annual fee...does this open up offers (such as FD) sooner than it would for those without the card?

Visa owners do get first crack at some promotions.. but there isn't any advertised difference between premium and regular disney visa holders as of yet. So no need to buy the premium just for that.

I have a Chase Visa already-would they convert it to a Disney Chase card for me?

I'm sure they wouldn't open another Chase account up for me since I have one.

I'm almost certain that a non-branded card cannot be transfered to a branded card.

But Chase will absolutely let you open up an additional card. There is no limit(of course depending on credit) how many cards you can have with a bank.

Definitely worth it to us....I use it to pay for everything! I just track our spending in my checkbook register just like I would if I wrote a check or used my debit card. We now have about $550 saved in points! That's $550 to help pay for our upcoming trip (or save for another time) that didn't cost me a cent! We've never paid a dime in interest charges since we pay it off every month!

No, they will not 'convert' it, but you can open multiple accounts with Chase. That's not an issue. Depending on your credit worthiness and your existing credit limits, they may alter your existing credit line so the total credit limit across both accounts is within their comfort.. but that's the worst that would happen.
