Yes, I think you’re wrong. It’s a theme park. Do you want tips like, don’t miss Space Mountain, drink a lot of water, and pick up a guide map in front of the park?
No, but I do want questions like "What's your personal experience with Cinderella's Royal Table? Everyone says to do it, but I just don't see the appeal." answered honestly.

There is nothing a TA can do that you can't do yourself...which also means YOU are in charge and own your trip and reservations, not someone else.

Any pros and cons over the others? How do you pick what you think would be the best agent for you?
Any of them go above and beyond???

Just depends on the actual agent. I've dealt with many in the past from different companies. Like anything else, some agents are more diligent than others...but, overall, I could say that most of the companies and agents i've dealt with are top notch.

There are pros and cons to that.

When you are in charge of your trip you are responsible for keeping track of promotions and rebooking your reservation, you have to make dining reservations, you have to deal with cancelations, etc.

When I book a trip with my KK agent, I typically send one email and I am done. Discounts are taken care of, dining is handled...the whole ball of wax. All I have to do is go on the trip. All for the low low price of $0.

Yes you are in charge of everything and you are responsible for everything as well. Things that go well and things that go bad. IF a new person can navigate everything and feel confident enough that theyve covered every detail then its all good. But when you miss things or things go south your chances are better having a TA back you up and work out the issues with Disney for you.
I have no issues with a new guest planning everything, but lets understand that not all newbies are competent enough or will take the time to do proper research to make it happen.
Weve been many times and know our way around but on our first trip I was glad we had a good TA to navigate the Dis world for us and that was back when there wasnt tecchie devices, LL's and all the policies Dis now has in place.
