Thoughts on whether Disney will add a 3rd theme park in the US (perhaps Midwest/east coast?)

What with today's announcement of a park being developed, by someone else, under Disney guidance, in the middle east - this tells us how Disney management is thinking - have someone else build it and Disney will help - but no $$$ go into it.
Expand by using someone else's $$ - if it fails -- Disney does not get the loss.

They also won't get the massive reward if it's a success. However, I do think there is a limit to the tourist $ in the UEA, so they must not think it will eat too much into their other resorts.

I've been reading on other forums that the UAE parks are more showpieces than commercial successes.

Some of the ride POV videos I've seen of some rides at the other UAE parks show almost deserted parks.

I'm sure Disney Abu Dhabi will overtake Hong Kong as the least visited Disney park but I'm not sure that the UAE cares.

It worked super well for Tokyo, for example.

When you have the amount of wealth that is available in the UAE, commercial success really does become a limited to almost non factor. It becomes the equivalent of ultra rich people who have a 20+ car collection, including the 1 of 3 x cars sold in North America, ect. Most of the time people in that class aren't driving themselves around, and if they are, they aren't taking those cars into the city. They have them because they are a show piece, and every once in awhile when they have guests, they will bring it out and say, want to ride in this, there's only 6 in the world, ect.

UAE now gets a major showpiece, and gets to say besides the US, China, and Japan (slight to France) WE are the only country in the world that has a Disney Park. That's a heck of a showpiece car to have in your garage even if not a lot of people are driving it.
