Disney Universal or both

And all without bringing a Universal vs. WDW debate into thread....:bored:
Not my goal. Maybe you know how to do this because I would like a pole of how many days people spend at each park. I can create one that would only have one answer 1 to 7 but I would like one that is 1 to 7 for each park and the number could combine to a higher about because some people could spend part of the day each park. Do you know how to do that?

Not really, but also not sure exactly what you want.

If this helps though, I usually spend 4 days for one at each park, 2 days for hanging out at the resort, DTD, golf, ect., a 7th day to revisit MK and Epcot, and sometimes an 8th for IOA. 10 days total, including travel

And can we all agree they completely ruined Spiderman? I'm an 80s kid like a lot of people here and it's just terrible. Toby McGuire? Come on. They just made it ultra lame and it makes me not want to ride the attraction.

Disney never make classics like Snow White, Peter Pan, Cinderella, Winnie the Pooh, Sleeping Beauty, Lion King, Aladdin, Toy Story, Little Mermaid, Jungle Book, etc lame. They have endless content that is just classic. Classic family. Classic fun. It's not Universal's fault really, but they don't have a lot of classic content. Dr. Seuss is kind of classic, but it's third rate compared to Disney's classic. Disney is just the king of content.

Something newer that impressed me was the new Maleficent.

No we cannot agree on that. I really liked the Toby McGuire Spiderman movies, and much to my surprised even liked The Amazing Spiderman, although I haven't seen the second one. I am not sure why your dislike of the new movies would make you not want to ride the ride. The ride isn't based on the movies and as far as I know Universal didn't have any part in them.

If you REALLY want to do this (can't believe I am encouraging this), set up the poll like this:

"On average, how much time to your spend at Disney and Uni on your orlando vacations"

0% Dis, 100% Uni
10% Dis, 90% Uni
25% Dis, 75% Uni
40% Dis, 60% Uni
50% Dis, 50% Uni
60% Dis, 40% Uni
etc....

For the vacation visitor to WDW is it worth doing both parks or just WDW? The cost of a 6 day WDW ticket is just 20.00 more 5th an. 4 day ticket. The cost of going over to Universal for a 2 day park pass with transfer from WDW is 220.00. For a family of 4 is it worth the $800.00 extra to go Universal for 2 days? Or is it a better idea just to stay at WDW and use fast pass plus?

The answer to this question will determine if next gen was worth the expense and which company will have the largest increase in 2014 attendance. This is a case of technology vs new rides. If it were just new rides in 2014 Universal would win hands down. If Disney gains more customer than technology wins.
Don't count uni out of the game, just try it and see.i have been there lately and it's great, going again in august to see the finished potter world.

No, but them I don't care how others spend their time. But thinking this thread wouldn't degenerate was a little naive. It's not discussing monorails after all....

Heading for the great escape.
That isn't irony. Maybe a bad response, but definitely not irony.

Most misused word in English today.

Still, I felt it was a good time for my to voice an opinion about Universal in general. It's not even a factor for me because their content sucks, so Disney always wins out. I went to Universal a few times and wasn't impressed because I can't relate to their stuff. Nothing against them.

Your opinion is duly noted and filed with all the other pointless poo on the interweb. Congrats.

For me, Universal is the enemy and their content sucks. I don't even consider going there. Yes, I'm a Disney apologist, so please don't try to give me a long story about how Universal is great.

With a lot of the posts here, you'd think this is a Universal forum.

Well, Steve and company DID set up a Universal section along with other places, so I'm not sure where your hatred for Universal is coming from. You say it's nothing personal yet you bash them as if a Universal bus ran over your entire family....

Oh well, one less person in front of me at Universal.

Maybe your right and I should not do it. Besides is doesn't really give me the data I really want. However your helpful answer gives me hope that Universal fans and Disney fans can get along and actually work with each other in a constructive manner.

As for me visiting universal it will happen but not this year, probably in 2015 and it would be in addition to my 3 WDW trips a year. I will probably stay at a Wyndham timeshare. I just can't use my DVC time to go to universal. Maybe an extra week at Bonnet Creek and spend 3 or 4 days at Universal and the rest at WDW.

What's the purpose of pointing that out? Clearly, we are all here to discuss our thoughts and give opinions. You don't need to be all sarcastic about it.

Congrats on stating the obvious that nothing anyone posts really matters.

The majority of people here have a pretty balances view when it come to Uni and Disney, there are just a few outliers on either side that don't want to have anything to do with the other.

Really? Usually when I come across people they are either all for one or the other
