Disney Universal or both

After spending the money for airfare, I do both. Well, actually, this time I will be doing US/IOA, WDW, Sea World and Busch Gardens Tampa. I only go about every 4 years because I am picky about having new things to see.

For me, both. I'm not just Disney-biased here. :p Even if it isn't as great as Disney, it's still worth it. They have great rides and the food is very good. I really like The Three Broomsticks, it has delicious food.
Definitely worth it.

Universal is incredible, just as good as Disney and does a lot of cheaper ticket deals. The only thing that lets universal down is their crappy parades.

I would go to uni over disney, and disney made HWS when they heard uni was coming, so yes they did copy uni in a way.

Well, no, they already had plans created for a Hollywood and move park, and were deciding whether or not to create them, thats when they heard about Uni, and decided to make it and make it wuick

Unless you're there during Macy's or Mardi Gras, that's "parade": singular.
And, when you think about it, until MK got Festival of Fantasy, the Superstar Parade was the best parade in town since Block Party Bash!
I think the thing is terribly underrated.

As I have posted on other threads; check the age groups going to each park. Disney seems to be more and more building to cater to the three to ten year age group. Especially by tying everything to a Disney animated fairy tale. This drives those who only want more thrill rides absolutely bananas. Most Universal rides and shows, on the other hand, are darker, more intense and of the thrill varity which appeal to the tweens, teenagers and young adults. If you want to avoid stroller jams, go to Universal.

If you tend to suffer from motion sickness or are older, there are fewer rides to enjoy at Universal. Also, Universal is nowwhere near as handicapped friendly as Disney. The rides or attractions you CAN go on are enjoyable. We really liked Hogsmead and are looking forward to visiting Daigon Alley as the attention to detail is incredible.

Universal is trying to appeal to a younger crowd with Cabana Bay and the Minions themed rooms. Disney is trying to appeal to an older crowd with its street parties and possibly with the new Avatar Land.

As for us, we always drive down to Orlando and spend three to four weeks at the parks. We stay on property at Disney and go to Universal for two days. Sometimes we go to Sea World for another two days and/or visit some other central Florida attraction. The remaining time is spent in the Disney parks, visiting the various hotels, trying the various restaurants, playing miniature golf, just relaxing or doing whatever else strikes our fancy. There is not much we haven't seen or done on Disney property. We have never been the three rides and have seen everything worthwhile types

I think you should do both .Disney has a lot to offer and universal also has a lot to offer. When I typically go I can spend 10 days not bored at all in Disney and then spent universal about 3 to 4 days .

When our AP's expire in May we will be probably switching to Universal, When Disney starts investing in their parks again, maybe we will come back.

If you can afford to do both, do both. We considered changing a couple days of our Christmas trip, but having been spoiled staying onsite at Universal in the past, that's the only way we'd consider it. The cost was prohibitive in comparison to WDW with free dining for those extra couple days, so we're not doing it.

I do think a Uni trip is on the docket for next year, though.

PLEASE! Can we just ban you from saying "content"?!? Sweet bippy, it's obnoxious!
What I find obnoxious is the overuse of the term game changer, not because I'm against Uni or something it just way too overused.

Also the content isn't great in the first place...
BUT no one respond to this I do not want to start one of those...

I really don't think that's the way it works... Also I now feel spiteful, so I'm responding without even continuing your silly argument.

Mardia Gras. You men the parade that goes into June? I can't believe they ran that so long. It's a joke. I am sure it's a great parade during the season but Lent was over and so was Easter.
