Disney Twighlight

That is the worst idea i think i've ever heard. Besides the fact that Twilights popularity is in the process of dying, it would be a terrible thing for Disney to associate with. Whether Twilight fans want to accept it or not the "story" (and i use that term very loosely) teaches kids terrible things. Jumping from guy to guy is ok, just be like Bella and let your boyfriend be a controling jack hole, and don't forget Bella's general behavior pattern. I heard that when Harry Potter was going to be made into a movie that Disney passed thinking it might become too controversial (they were wrong there). If that's true then i doubt Disney would ever touch Twilight with a 100 foot pole.

Yup. Nostalgia Critic hits that message right on the head in his review: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TIEJsf_cg70

Um, yeah.

You realize each movie has made more than the one before it, right? And I think it's safe to say, when the new one is released in 2 weeks, that trend will continue.

Nice try though.

Why I'm taking the time to do this, I don't know. But to show how utterly pointless that video (though funny) is , here are just a few mistakes:

1."She thinks she's tortured." - No she doesn't.
2."She gets a crush on a boy and decides she wants to marry him." - Wrong. She makes it perfectly clear several times that she's too young to get married. She finally decides to marry Edward so he will be the one to turn her into a vampire.
3."She's not even out of high school yet." - Wrong. She graduated high school in the last movie, before she ever said yes to getting married.
4."She wants to be turned into a vampire, which everyone has said is throwing her life away." - One person said that, and that was Jacob.
5."But of course, at the enlightening age of 17, she already knows exactly what she wants." - She's 18.
6."She gets involved with another boy but dumps him because the other boy looks at her weird." She was never with Jacob as more than anything than a friend. She goes to save Edward when she finds out he's going to have himself killed because he thinks she's dead, not because "he looks at her weird."
7."Her boyfriend finally agrees to marry her." Has this guy even seen the movies or read the books?

The point of this is, haters will hate. The more popular something is, the more some people will hate it. I figured that out 20 years ago when I was still in school. Pretty sad that some people here haven't figured it out yet.

New Moon was also nominated for 3.

Ok so I may have slipped up and thought they have won all of them but being nominated for as many as they have is just as disgraceful. Wow, I made a human error, shun me for my sins. You must not make mistakes. Bite me!

You didn't make a mistake. You made something up to try and prove your point.

Does getting nominated for a Razzie get made up for by the fact that the movie won the People's Choice Award for Best Movie. Of course not. Who cares? The Razzie's are about as serious as the Teen Choice Awards.

just curious, are we at a point where that saying is purely secular / a western Christianity thing?

I don't know. But I do feel like we're in elementary school and the bullies are picking on kids because they like something the bullies don't. Pretty juvenile, but that's just my 2 cents.

It happens with every franchise. You have the people that love Disney, Star Wars, Star Trek, etc and those that make fun of it. I do not begrudge anyone who likes Twilight unless they try and convince me that I should like it as well. If you think Twilight is the best literary work ever, great! That is your right. Just like it is my right to like my female characters to have a spine.
