Shocked they didn’t retheme Wonderland and Neverland.

I just expected more spaces to be different than Wish. Kid spaces being exactly the same is also a surprise. Did they have a skeleton crew at WDI on this?
Gotta scale back those kinds of grand expectations, cowboy.

Exactly. It's also why I don't think we'll see anything significant changed for the third ship that's only a year behind (unless I missed an update to 2026).

Are you insinuating that $lappie actually wasn't a "Master Ship Builder" as his quickly-removed-after-he-got-torpedoed sign on CC would have suggested? "Shocking" - No one. Ever. ;)

Nope…other class ships sometimes has some swapping out/repurposing of smaller venues that don’t involve major structural redesign…but not anything to change overall layout
I don't know what the official class names are but it looks like DCL has three classes which I'll call by the first in each class:
  • Magic: Magic, Wonder
  • Dream: Dream, Fantasy
  • Wish Triton: Wish, Treasure, Unnamed (2025)
Edit: Looks like the "Wish" class is called the "Triton" class as another ship is coming

What Disney fans thought might be announced: a Haunted Mansion lounge

What Disney shared: a Haunted Mansion shoebox? Diorama kit?

I acknowledge there's likely still more that's been unannounced so we'll see what happens but this inclusion in the video really felt like Disney getting a good laugh. They know what people are talking about. 😄

My first thoughts on the new ship is that the IPs used skew quite adult. Coco is a great IP, but my children would have zero desire to eat in a Coco restaurant for two nights of a cruise.

No interest in Zootropolis. In fact we walked past Judy and Nick at DCA last week and they couldn't even remember what their names were.

I love the inclusion of Parks IP. But, again this seems to skew adult.

This wouldn't be a problem if the adult spaces on the Triton class ships were as well designed as on the older 4 ships. But, they aren't.

So. I would still pick one of the original 4 ships for an adult cruise, and probably The Wish with children of Oceaneer club age.

Yes…the first two ships were designed in the mid 1990s and built just before 2000
The second mid 2000s and built 2010
The three new ones developed 2015ish and rolling out now

So the Triton class is more or less set. They sign contracts with the dockyards and that’s how the construction/fabrication is secured.
It’s baked in.

A significantly different ship would involve a new class design

So what you’re saying is…they’re hammering the same IP over and over again into every product/crevice they can fit it into? Instead of new standalone facilities/venues that can be “what they are” in time and space?

…hmmm that’s prolly something the customers should keep and eye on? 🧐

They did announce 20,000 league and jungle cruise themed lounges which align more with adventure than HM.

Eh, I think it's be difficult to have an adventure themed ship and not have a lounge similar to this JC one. That they'll tie in corny jokes and references to the attractions is, I think, a positive.

Zootopia and Coco are not used very much in parks so they don't feel like tapping the same well repeatedly, at least imo. (But ask me again in a few years after if the runored WDW park additions happen.) Even the Lion King area looks more primarily designed as African adventure with Lion King more as an afterthought to hit a check box. I mean, it's not like it's throwing up simbas. everywhere. The Zootopia sweet shop shop? I thought it was pretty clever. It's not as though they just plopped something like "Goofy's Candy Company ... At Sea!" as an option.

But another Beauty and the Beast stage show is another matter. I'm sure it'll be beautiful but that's one I'd love to see something different. Tangled, Jungle Book, Aladdin, Peter Pan, and ***Treasure Planet*** would have been great and fit the overall theme better than Beauty and the Beast.

I know it's been wildly requested but I'm still unsure how well our Haunted Mansions would translate to a full time bar vs., say, something more like Mystic Manor inspired that pops up in the 20,000 Leagues space during Halloween on the High Seas.

Wish should have BatB and this should have Aladdin, honestly.

They are still supposed to get a new signature show...guesses on what it could be? Peter Pan as you mentioned, or maybe a mix?

How are you getting 5 ships in Florida?

There will be 6 in the fleet.

In the summer, one is in Alaska and one is in Europe.

In the winter, one is in Galveston/New Orleans/San Juan and one is in San Diego/Australia.
This is when there are 7 ships (ignoring Global Dream 2.)

Port Canaveral always has 2. But they have made plans for a 3rd using Terminal 10.

Fort Lauderdale has been promised 2.

Potentially as the Terminal 10 arrangement was agreed pre COVID and pre Fort Lauderdale the 3rd PC ship has been reallocated to FL?

Either way 4 ships in Florida in winter still leaves 1 currently unaccounted for based on your locations unless it finds a new port or stays somewhere for longer… Europe all year perhaps?
