Disney to Reveal Ambitious Star Wars Plans

I agree it would have been great if mine train had a little longer track or another show scene but as is it is a good ride.

I can be a critic of every ride built in every park we all have different likes and dislikes.

Overall Disney wins theming and immersion in their lands.

Universal has stepped up their game but park as whole still lacks. Potter awesome as good as any part in Disney.

Why it took 18 months to build the meet and great I have had restaurants that I have built that were suppose to be 4 months but when I got into it find out floor is bad supports not right etc. so we really cannot say.

Overall Disney takes way to long on build times but they also don't need to rush anything based on their attendance.

I see this sentiment a lot, but I personally don't agree. I don't need some ride to have amazing groundbreaking tech to be worthwhile. I'd be perfectly fine with using 1960's technology if it results in an immersive engaging experience. The things I love about Disney rides are they the best ones tend to have great visuals, interesting storylines and engaging songs/music.

To each there own.

I will not settle for a Star Wars omnimover.

I would LOVE a Star Wars omnimover. I would not want that to be the only ride however. I'm imagining a ride somewhat similar to SSE just not quite as long. The ride would be narrated and show some AA scenes of young George Lucas and how he came up with the idea (maybe lines from Lucas himself) and then show him and the crew working on "A New Hope" with all the models and blue screen stuff. Then gradually build into opening night at the Chinese Theatre. Then the narration would switch to narrating the story of Star Wars as you go through AA scenes from the movies. And of course the end scenes could always be in flux with whatever they are doing with Star Wars at the moment for synergy purposes as the saga will always continue...

I want a people mover to go across all of Hollywood studios damn it. I want a people mover to just go along all of I95 from maine to Disney. I can sit on that all day and listen to anything they want to play lol

How about:
a Death Star interactive "trackless" Omnimover (basically a trackless dark ride with continuous loading) - C ticket
Mos Eisley Cantina quick-service
Jabba's Palace table service
a Millenium Falcon walkthrough
an expanded Jedi Training Academy
an Ewok play area
dueling X-Wing spinners (one side has a 52" height requirement and allows barrel rolls, corkscrews, etc... the other is like Dumbo and simply goes up and down, left and right. Basically one for infants/toddlers, one for teens and adults)
Endor speedbike coaster (D+ ticket)
Twister ride system E-ticket based on the new trilogy/series (E+ ticket)

That's probably $2 billion of Disney dollars right there lol. Maybe even more!

I can't be the only one that would be very disappointed if they built an omnimover, a trackless one at that, that only had the quality of a C ticket attraction!

I'd rather see a D or D+ or even E omnimover experience, even if it meant you don't get one of your D+ speedbike coaster or E+ ticket twister ride.

I hope it's not the same trick they pulled on us involving Maelstrom and The Making of Frozen. But this time I think we'll get something out of them!

I'm still not so sure what a omnimover us...I think it's a continuous ride system where the whole attracrion operates at the same speed...otherwise harry potter and forbidden journet and peter pan are omnimovers.

Anyways....I'd rather see a trackless attraction on a less intense ride like pixar theme...i don't think I'd mind a star wars rip off of forbidden journey ride system either.

Information about merchandise, it doesn't indicate that we will get any info about park additions.

It does say "Be among the first to get a sneak peek into what new exclusives will be coming from the Disney Parks in 2015 & 2016."

What that means, who knows?
