Disney is building capacity! Soarin and Toy story midway mania! Those are two very exciting new experiences.... oh wait.... they're neither new nor exciting.

Soarin is ten years old. Whatever capacity they add to it & TSMM will not do much to help things.

Its like adding a lane to an already cramped highway; the capacity will be filled as soon as it opens.

Lol no red bull no nothing the park was empty. We walked on everything with no wait. Ha
You did every non Potter ride in both parks in 4 hours?

I think you may be exaggerating a bit.

Lol no he place was a ghost town. We walked up to every ride and got on in less then 5 min. Did no shows as my two boys are not big fans. Used express pass for the ater rides as they were busy but op really the park was a ghost town except potter which was crazy.

I guarantee that DHS, EPCOT, or DAK would not appear to be that busy if they had so many attractions in each park. The attendance of IOA and US are supposedly just a few hundred thousand less than disney parks, that is not that many people over the course of a year. I think you're just seeing how a crowd can properly disperse itself when it is full of things to do. Obviously potter is crowded but I assure you, many people are there.

People keep making excuses on why I felt it was so slow! When most food establishments carts don't open during spring break you are slow! I asked every worker I talked to and they said it was brutal slow and they have had a slow spring break but their true busy season is summer per them.

Just saying the place was actually empty besides potter. Which makes me believe people come for that and see the rest of the place because they just spent 150 bucks for one day to see both sides of potter and ride the train. I know we did.

My experience in Universal was the same......we got right on everything and could often do rides multiple times in a row if we wanted without wait. We were not elbow to elbow anywhere walking either. It was really nice but I'm not sure the spin I'm hearing is the reason for it. It was like that all day too......IDK? I liked the crowds being super thin but I still prefer the attractions at Disney overall as the whole family can do it all together as we have a younger child still.

Our family hasn't had toddlers in 15 years and my kids would rather have a root canal than ride the moving park benches Disney calls "attractions". Would it kill Disney to build something with balls?

I actually think Disney should make one park just for that reason and go all out on the coasters and screen rides to give everyone that option as well. Basically I felt universal was geared towards the 13 and up family with its rides choice and not the families with small children.

Big difference in the taste but then again if I had young young kids I would never go to universal nothing for them to do.

Hmmmm. I wouldn't go so far as to say there's nothing for younger kids to do! there is the Dr. Seuss stuff, as well as minion mayhem, shrek 4D, pteranadon Flyers, and depending on their age, theres a lot you can do by the age of 5 as well.

IDK.....I would guess that if you were looking for that then you would go elsewhere? Even the "thrill" rides at Disney are pretty mild in my opinion and almost everyone can experience them. I think my daughter was four when she went on TOT with me the first time. I won't put her in a seat by herself on Space Mt. Yet even though she does Matterhorn......idk why but I just wont.....darkness maybe. She can't RNR but would love it but does everything else. She can't go on a lot at Universal so she usually gets a day at the pool with Grandma while we take the older kids in the family. I like a lot of the more "thrilling" stuff they have there myself but we still prefer the stuff we do together at Disney though. That is us though and to each their own but I certainly prefer the crowds at Universal vs the crowds Disney. I just don't care for all that goes with that as most people don't know how to act in public and operate very selfishly.

Just wanted to add that the park benches are some of my favorite rides.....love Haunted Mansion, love the less than thrilling Pirates and seeing my girl light up on Seven Dwarfs is awesome.

I counted Dr Seuss, a couple play lands and maybe shrek.

Not worth. The price of admission for under 5.
Good Point. I can understand where you are coming from with the prices at both theme parks being ridiculous. Although in a few years I would say give UNI another chance. Its really quite fun when you can make the most of it.

Yeah. Disney doesn't do high level thrills. If that is what a person is looking for, then Disney parks really aren't for them. That's okay, you can't be all things to all people. Personally, while adding a few coasters or higher thrills rides would be reasonable for Disney, I don't see any reason to go overboard with it since they aren't going to capture the demo of folks who want to go to a Cedar Fair/Six Flags type thrill park. If Everest or RNR is the highest level of thrills at a Disney park, that's IMHO perfectly reasonable.

On the reverse, though, I don't see how anyone could be a Disney fan if they don't enjoy the sedate family rides that everyone could ride that basically defined Disney parks. If you don't like those kinds of rides, then Disney just isn't for you and probably never will be. For Disney, it's always been the "show" that was the key aspect of the rides.

And since I don't have toddlers, Disney has nothing for my teens to do.

My littlest Princess was riding 310' tall, 95 mph coasters by the time she was six. She would have thought I had lost my mind if I tried to put her in a Princess Meet and Greet line.

I think everyone has their own preferences why having both doing good work and different styles is so great for a vacation to orlando. Choices are a wonderful thing.

I personally like a ride with more then getting In a coaster and being looped over and over again..., I want to be taken to a place by a good story and lost in the story and then tossed around.

Either you don't have the ability to comprehend a map, or being deliberately obfuscating. I am going with the latter.

You don't happen to work in Celebration Place do you?
