Disney to Reveal Ambitious Star Wars Plans

The unofficial guide to Disneyland's author claims that Luigi's Tire's is closing to make way for a Cars version of Autopia. Leaving the original Autopia area to be a Star Wars expansion. Sounds kind of familiar to Back Lot Tour's sudden closure.

I think one rumour was that Autopia would move there (into an extended area) so that Star Wars land could go into Tomorrowland. However now that SWL seems to be going to Toontown that may have changed plans so that Autopia will remain and Luigi's will be revamped.

Does anyone know if Star Wars Land is rumored to take over SciFi Theater!? just curious!
Yes where is this SWL going to encompass? Would it be from the ride just taking indiana jones or all the way down commissary lane and to bay lake? More or less looking for some thoughts on this since im still struggling with how it could be great with such limited space. I mean with this space it looks like 1 more ride and 1-2 restaurants/shops at best unless it does go all the way to bay lake and GMR then many more options.

There is a lot of speculation, but no one knows for sure.

I have to keep my hopes up for this project! For no other reason then I want to believe it is going to be awesome and be an incredible experience. I would be thrilled if we get two rides a spinner and a themed restaurant.

My expectations are a spinner and one ride and restaurant.
Something to consider:

James Cameron announced Avatar 2 years before Star Wars 7 was announced. Star Wars 7 went through two complete screenplay re-writes and at least four writers, with the work of two of these writers (George Lucas being one of them) completely thrown out. James Cameron has co-written the Avatar sequels, with pre-production moving along with no problems at paced rate. Disney and LucasFilm, while suffering from several setbacks, including actors getting injured on the set, will release Star Wars 7 on time - December of this year. Meanwhile, while Avatar 2 began its preproduction years before Star Wars 7 was even announced and with no setbacks or problems that could plague or delay production, Cameron and his writer or just now finishing the writing, planning to shoot soon, and release it on in 2017 - one year short of a decade from the release of the first one.

Based on the above information, which movie do you want to bet will be a better quality production? I won't even make a prediction as to which will do better at the box office, but Cameron is shooting multiple sequels at once. With each released at quick intervals from the other, collectively the films will for sure be a slam dunk!

If anyone is curious what George Lucas's original story was (that Disney decided not to use) for Star Wars 7, I have seen both (not really) and can now compare key story points from both (as a joke)...

In Lucas's original story outline, we find out that the Emperor never really died at the end of RotJ but managed to survive and escape the Second Death Star before being destroyed by the rebellion. In the backstory to Star Wars 7, Lucas writes that the Emporer planned a come back and spent twenty years training a new army in secret and preparing an invasion of the New Republic as the trilogy's new villain!

In JJ Abram's original screenplay, which replaced the story outline Lucas wrote some fourth years ago and refined multiple times and converted into working draft versions, our villain is Huessyadaddee, played by Justin Beaver. Huessyadaddee, according the Star Wars Episode 7: The Force Awakens, an original screenplay by JJ Abrams and Lawence Kasden iRevision 8.2, is described as a character "similar but completely opposite Captain Eo in that he sings (similar) but he's the villain (opposite)."

In Lucas's original story, Han's son learns about temptation and evil pleasures. He falls in love with the most beautiful woman in the Galaxy but soon discovers she is evil and seduces him to the Dark Side. Over his parent's objections, he begins following her like a lost puppy dog. Her spell over him is so strong that he would do anything she commands of him.

In the JJ Abrams original screenplay (iRevsion 8.2), Han's daughter, 17-year-old #starbabe (played by Miley Cyrus), gets caught up in a lifestyle of drugs and debauchery, accepting a job as a stripper at Jabba's Palace (now run by Jabba the Hutt's grandson Ibeechillin the Hutt).

...Feel free to add more story comparisons.. That's all I feel like writing for now...

I'm betting on a spinner, meet-n-grope and cantina

I was about to make a comment concerning Carie Fisher but after trying to formulate the wording, it sounded way too creepy so never mind... Lol
Creepy as in they had a love child?

Assuming anyone wants to see Avatar. And as of now, I know no one chomping at the bit for ANYTHING Avatar.
The folks I know went from "Ooooo, pretty" to "That sucked" in record time. I believe these Avatar sequels have the tremendous potential to be the most mind bogglingly impressive bombs Hollywood has ever seen.

Well... Ah... Well... Hmm... Um... Wow... Ok... They will have the potential to be the biggest blockbusters ever to be really bad... Nevermind, nothing can beat Phantom Menace in that catagory... These movies will be like crack... You're going to have see them for the rush but you will feel shame thereafter... Until the next one is released...
