True...but let's give Cameron some credit. He hasn't rushed this idea into the theater and all of his movies have been fun to watch, and very successful.
Agree with avatar being an average story concept and a little on the preachy side but the visual land was stunning. The world was amazing.
Can't wait to see this world come to life in animal kingdom.
Disneys marketing might hyping up the world of pandora in 2017 will help Cameron's new films.
It will be interesting to see what AvatarLand looks like when it's completed. That will give us an idea of what to expect when Star Wars Land is built. Hopefully it will get a huge budget to top Harry Potter Land.

It's going to blow your mind. Simple as that. The world you walk through will blow your mind.
That's how I felt walking through cars land at disney. Amazing how they recreated that land.

Haven't seen potter yet, going this Christmas.
It's a fun time to be a theme park fan. Disney has some amazing concepts on the horizon.

I'm excited about AvatarLand. Being a lifelong Star Wars fan, I can't wait for Disney to make an announcement and give us so details on what will be coming in the future. CarsLand looks amazing. It gives you a hint on what Disney can do if given the proper budget.

The biggest thing I'm hoping for is that during Glendale's feet dragging, that they have come to the conclusion that they cant halfass this - they need to go all-in and spend some serious cash.

One of the interesting things from SWW that were researched last year was the number of guests essentially Cosplaying. I wonder if that had any impact on any decisions whatsoever?

It probably means they'll do a Jedi Makeover store so you can get your Jesus robes, light sabre and do quests for Yoda.

In a post a couple months back, @WDW1974 said that, if the plans aren't changed or budgets cut, Disney is planning some excellent SW stuff with cutting edge technology. (Sorry for paraphrasing, but I couldn't find the post right now)

Edit: "Since my time will be limited, it would help if folks didn't inundate me with questions like ''what's going to be in Star Wars Land and when can we expect it?''

BTW, the answer to that is 'some really kewl stuff IF the budgets don't get slashed (truly cutting edge stuff ... yes, from Disney ... shocking, right?!?!)' and 'I have no idea, but my best guess is 4-6 years from now.' Really."...@WDW1974...A Spirited Perfect Ten, post #1

I usually go to disney world in September-October, and I've rarely seen beauty and the beast less than 3/4 or more full, if not a packed auditorium. They might want to replace it, but to say it's unpopular is unknowledgable.
I go in sept / oct as well as spring most years. The show is mostly empty. Last year when we went it was us and 4 other groups of people it was an early afternoon show the first week of oct. It was also empty went we went for MLK weekend this year.

For Uni fans its a great time, for WDW fans, that horizon is years away and those 'concepts' should fear the rabid pack of accountant Sith Lords with calculators on their light sabers. I remain hopeful though.
And I'm sure as universal slows down its building the roles will flip flop. Unless you think we will get another full park redo from universal in a few years

I know what's been said. I know what I've been told by my people. I also know that this project has been a tad dynamic and is constantly changing. So I really dont know what to believe anymore.... other than the timetable. Thats been a consistant "done by 2020"

5 years isn't that far away.
2013 new fantasyland
2014 mine train
2016 rivers of light night show
2016 frozen ride at epcot
2017 for avatar land
2020 for Star Wars and what ever else they are doing

It's a better time to be a disney theme park fan then 2007 to 2012 when nothing was done.
After what I saw at Cartland, I believe both avatar land and Star Wars land will be special.

I'm excited to go to universal this Christmas to check out Harry Potter land. Good time to be a themepark fan.

They will probably drag it out to 2021 for the 50th anniversary unless they let that just slide by... like they do all the park anniversaries in Florida...maybe a special pin and drag out some old characters for meet and greet....I would LOVE to be wrong about that....
