With all of the rumors going around, what things are probably going to happened? Close the Indiana Jones stunt show, fill in Echo Lake, is Backlot Tours area in play, Streets of America all going away to make way for the Star Wars land that a lot of people have been waiting for Disney to build? They have a chance to make Hollywood Studios a main player in the theme park wars.

why fill in echo lake ?

It would make an awesome dagobah swamp with a half sunkin x wing in it.

Indiana jones would most likely become part of star wars along with commissary lane. Area. So everything from Echo lake back to the current star tours will be in play. They can also push out past indy and star tours for more room if they need.

I think the muppets might stay, they just announced some more muppet projects and there is a rumor of a third new movie.

Back lot tour will most likely be home to the Pixar expansion. You can fit a nice coaster and two dark rides along with a few resturants and set pieces back there easily.

I also wonder if Beauty and the beast will get the boot , you can fit a restaurant and 1 to 2 rides there easily

THe current Disney junior stuff will prob also stay since its always packed. Of course the tower and rocking roller coaster will stay also

All, some or none of the above. We really don't know at this point.

I keep hearing people talk about the removal of echo lake to start Star Wars land there. This makes no sense as the area is too close to the old Hollywood theme. To walk down Hollywood boulevard and then immediately to your left is dagobah or tattooine would be super jarring thematically. Something has to be done to make a proper transition from classic Hollywood to Star Wars.

Yep, I've looked at the map and the only way I see that working and it is a stretch that will require a lot of new work is to extend the main entrance street there further down on that side in order to kind of block that area from the Hollywood setting........then once you get past that there is the Star Wars presentation going back to the previously discussed areas. It would require a lot of work on an area that wasn't thought of as part of the project but they did do this in Cali when they greatly altered that entrance. We will see when the plan rolls out I guess.

No way beauty and the beast goes with a live action movie coming.

I think it would be fine , the transitions in Magic kingdom are just are jarring. What you can is just set up a façade and have one side a sky line of Hollywood and the other side star wars stuff.

Its just a huge foot print for something that's not popular and have a very low amount of people per hour. They could still do a beauty and the beast show but put it in a building like little mermaid Just look at how much wasted space that thing takes up. You can fit an inside stage show plus a dark ride and a restaurant with a shop there easily

With Indy getting a reboot they will probably just update the Indy show with new scenes.

Na the indy show takes up a lot of room. I would think the easiest way is to just bring the ride from cali over here with a few updates.

Like I said the left side of the park is the best place to expand outward . They would just have to move a road around but there is plenty of room to actually move out.

I usually go to disney world in September-October, and I've rarely seen beauty and the beast less than 3/4 or more full, if not a packed auditorium. They might want to replace it, but to say it's unpopular is unknowledgable.

Assuming anyone wants to see Avatar. And as of now, I know no one chomping at the bit for ANYTHING Avatar.
The folks I know went from "Ooooo, pretty" to "That sucked" in record time. I believe these Avatar sequels have the tremendous potential to be the most mind bogglingly impressive bombs Hollywood has ever seen.

True...but let's give Cameron some credit. He hasn't rushed this idea into the theater and all of his movies have been fun to watch, and very successful.
Agree with avatar being an average story concept and a little on the preachy side but the visual land was stunning. The world was amazing.
Can't wait to see this world come to life in animal kingdom.
Disneys marketing might hyping up the world of pandora in 2017 will help Cameron's new films.

We really enjoy the Beauty and The beast show. But it would be nice if they would change the acts around a bit. Mary Poppins has some of the best music and songs and would be a great musical. Plus, dare I say, a Frozen musical - could you picture the crowds for that but they have the sing-a-long.
Also, they had Four for a dollar a few years back as an opening act which was great.
