I'm actually looking forward to Superhero Squad. I like the goofy fun of Batman Brave and the Bold, plus it's being headed by the creator of Angry Beavers AND it's got a very huge and interesting cast.

Carlos Alazraqui - Captain Australia, Cyclops, Ringmaster
Shawn Ashmore - Iceman
Alimi Ballard - Falcon, Thunderball
Ted Biaselli - Helicarrier, Loki, Mole Man, Tricephalous, Terrax
Steven Blum - Wolverine, Redwing, Heimdall, Zabu, Abomination, Fin Fang Foom, Pyro, Thanos, Eddie Brock/Venom
David Boat - Thor, Captain Liechtenstein, Thing, Uatu, John Porter, Trapster, Galactus' Mom
A.J. Buckley - Batroc the Leaper, Klaw, Toad
LeVar Burton - War Machine
Antony Del Rio - Reptile
Grey DeLisle - Ms. Marvel, Enchantress
Taye Diggs - Black Panther

this thread is giving me a headache :hammer:

in the end...

1) disney completes the deal at the end of the year

2) our favorite company becomes more and more like the yankees :fork: (sorry, couldnt help myself)

3) universal and other companies still have movie and park rights

4) meanwhile, disney profits from royalities and stuff they produce.

Finally, any theme park ride Disney might create will have marvel characters the public knows...Im sorry but I don't think the mega majority of the public knows 98% of marvel characters.

I dunno, but I find female body builders a little freaky.:lookaroun:lol:

Oh, of all the fun things to be talking about on a Disney Fan Board...:lol:

Agreed. On the first part, not the talking about it part. I think it's great, I live for discussing our animated companions.
:D

No, he's antagonizing EE.

I've always had a crush on Gwen Stacy or Shadowcat. Can we get a M&G with them?

Honestly the more I think of this, the more perfect it would be for a DLR 3rd gate.

Interesting stuff indeed. Not the idea of cramming Marvel into existing parks, but very natural and wonderful collaborations with imagineering, like with all the wonderful attractions Disney and Pixar have created together so far. The addition of Marvel opens up many possibilities for such attractions and experiences.
:sohappy:

And making a fool of himself in the process.

Don't worry, remember Theme and Setting and Story I've been talking with you about? That's your safeguard for these things to be unnaturally placed in all of Disney Parks.

I'm guessing Disney might of just answered the " How is Disney going to compete with Harry Potter?" question.

Right now it seems like...

Universal: "We have the Potter boy! You're dead meat now!"

*Pointing gun at Disney's Head*

*Disney grabs Marvel, points his gun at Marvel's head*

Disney: "Well we have your Marvel. Go ahead and fire, or your spidey here's brains are all over I-4. What do you say?"

I don't think the story ends happy for any of them...
 :lookaroun

Extremely strange statement, Disney has ALWAYS been about quality work, and associating it's self with the best in every area it enters, and in the world of Comic Books, Disney and Marvel are an absolute perfect match.

We can't forget that Disney has it's tendrils all over everything in the world. You have to remember that Quentin Tarantino's (A decidedly UN-Disney filmmaker) films are mostly Disney Films, Such as Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, and Kill Bill. (released by Miramax, a Disney owned operation.)

Disney and quality should never be apart in any business arrangement, and this is a good one.

Ever since I heard Disney was merging with Marvel I just can't sleep thinking about the marvelous new possibilities. I was also thinking since it looks like WB/DC may loose the rights to Superman would Bob Iger have the stones to acquire the rights to Superman and put him in the Disney/Marvel pantheon?? I do know they wanted to have superman in the original Roger Rabbit film but WB said no.

But Pumbas, it makes perfect sense! In order to compete with Potterland which is almost done they plan of building a park that will take at least 5 years of development to get open! The Sheriff's a genius!

The other parks are old and dumb, you should know that.

^^^Here's another one that doesn't know how to read.^^^

that is...the most depressing thing I have ever seen

Why oh why has Six flags not gone bankrupt already???? DC deserves so much more. I hate WB and I hate Six Flags they are ruining a great thing.

That is sad. I esepcially like how the Riddler keeps trying to get the attention of some guy in green... and fails to do so.

I'm a much bigger DC fan than I am a Marvel fan and I wish they could be in a Disney or Universal park rather than Six Flags. But, of well.

Does anyone else remember the DC Superhero ski show that used to be a Sea World? I was a little tyke when I saw it, but I still remember it fondly. It had some of the more obscure characters like Black Canary! I remember Aquaman did a high dive. And my brother and I were scared out of our minds (in a good way) when some of the Batman villains ran into the audience and captured Robin.

There was a lot of the cheesy *biff*bam*pow* from the 60's Batman TV show, but it was still better than that parade at Six Flags.
