Disney Springs tenant watch

Too early to exist tho? I-Drive Live, opening within months of Disney Springs, already has half a dozen or more tenants announced. If TDO isn't in negotiations right now, those buildings will open empty. And, while I can't vouch for King Bob's source on the In & Out Burger story, rumors from those negotiations are bound to leak out.
If you think I-Drive Live is opening within months of the Disney Springs Expansion, the joke's on you my friend. I-Drive Live construction is moving much more quickly than Disney Springs, and it doesn't have to deal with Disney's slower-than-molasses pace of construction on ANYTHING.

That said, you are right, rumors are bound to leak out of the negotiations. But they're not negotiating there yet as much as you think.

Perhaps it seemed too harsh when I said that this thread is too early to exist, but the reality is that there is nothing to report quite yet. Please don't take it as anything but that.

Last I'd heard was 2015 (ok, NYE 2014). Even sooner? With the general rebirth of south I-Drive in general lately, I'm very curious to see how this one turns out.

I just don't understand why people will pick there favorite restaurants or merch shops from where they live and hope they get a spot at the Springs. I for one, don't want to see anything on vacation from where I live. Hear that Rain Forest and Planet Hollywood? I understand there are people that don't have these places in their area so that's why there should be unique and different experiences for everyone!
I used to love Earl of Sandwich and still do but in the last 2 months they just opened one in a casino in PA about 5 minutes from my house. I love it but now I don't look forward to it when we go down for our next trip. Sad.

I live in Orlando, so I would love some of these places to arrive. Keep in mind DTD/Disney Springs has a lot of locals that visit there as well and for us, we would love some of these places to come as they aren't around here.

The original Rainforest Cafe was the one in the Mall of America here in Minnesota, but I still like the (two) they have in Disney. They're all a bit different so it's a different experience. Yes the food is the same but the experience is different, which is what Disney is trying to do. Having stores/restaurants that have a large guest base already but adding their own twist on it helps sales. So many people like familiarity that it's a pretty safe bet to go with popular chains and new experiences within them.

Same reasons they only go to Walt Disney World for vacation, then go on only the same rides, stay at the same hotels and eat at the same restaurants.

That's what I heard, too. NYE, 2014. I wondered if they set that date so that they didn't have to say 2015, lol. NYE would be a good day, though.

I generally pay little attention to this sort of thing, but have to say the fountain idea excites me. I really would like to see that!! Used to love the Epcot one and this sounds like it'll be even better than Epcot was when it was still really great.

Cabella's.....you have got to be kidding? How many people traveling to WDW....to buy shot gun shells and camo? Don't get me wrong.....I love cabella's but seriously?

No Cabela's for the secret un-anounced World of Disney TEXAS!, where the shooting range will feature muzzleloading muskets for a real frontier feel :)

Trader Sam's? I'm not going to pretend to be excited about this (yes, I'm an AC fangirl--sue me!). Here's a novel idea: why not just put back the Adventurer's Club (w/dining)?!

Disney wants to lease out to 3rd parties, blah blah blah.

PS even you non -AC-fanatics have to admit that there's something uniquely Disney about this place. It would fit right (back) in.
