Please provide an ounce of proof for that. You mean like the way Disney made their employees use vacation time when they closed for Hurricane Matthew?

Not arguing with that. But I still think the tax write-offs and the great publicity is what motivates companies. What is wrong with everyone's reading comprehension skills on this thread??????
Has ANYONE said that Disney was a not for profit company?????
You can be a profitable organization and still donate money.
OMG this is CRAZY
Yup, just there on Monday and all last week. Busy, but not wall to wall people, except on Friday and Saturday night.So..........anyone been to Disney Springs lately? Is it a ghost town? Just asking.
People say it seems to be packed, not sure how many are actually buying things though.So..........anyone been to Disney Springs lately? Is it a ghost town? Just asking.
OK, since you asked so nicely...Please provide an ounce of proof for that.
And the tax write-offs don't interest you? Oh, that's right, you actually have to have income to donate to charity. Go ask your parents if they donate. I'm sorry, but I cannot believe that you are anything but a disillusioned teenager. Not arguing with that. But I still think the tax write-offs and the great publicity is what motivates companies.
Well, close enough. The only issue is that the park closed at 5pm on Friday, but opened at 8am the very next day. Would not have been a lot of people needing to take the day off. I would have volunteered to help with the tie down and clean up.OK, since you asked so nicely...
Disney World was the last of the major theme parks to announce closures. SeaWorld had announced yesterday its three theme and water parks would close early today and remain shut down Friday. Universal Orlando this morning announced its theme parks and CityWalk entertainment complex will close at 5 p.m. today and stay closed Friday.
A Universal spokesman said employees will be paid if they were supposed to work. A Disney spokeswoman had no information but Ed Chambers, president of the Service Trades Council union group at the resort, said workers there will have to use paid time off. They can also use future sick or vacation days if need be, he said. SeaWorld said its team members will have to use paid time off such as vacation days if they want to be paid as well.

They asked for proof that Disney didn't pay the employees. I gave it. No need to argue with me.You must not have lived through a hurricane before.
This is a good thing that they offered.
Poll 1000 hourly employees who are off of work due to closures before or after a hurricane.
Get back to me with the number of those hourly employees who revived pay during the closures.
This is off the rails. We see Springs as a must do for the food options, and a few of the Disney related stores.
Not going to go near any of the mall type stores. We'll go to the outlet malls for that kind of thing. Disney holidays are expensive enough as it is without overpriced stores that are cheaper anywhere else.
Ok..but no one does. You made it sound like Disney is this big bad company. They asked for proof that Disney didn't pay the employees. I gave it. No need to argue with me.

Perspective is important.
You're right. I'll rephrase- 99% of companies do not pay their hourly employees when closed due to a natural disaster.Universal paid it's employees, so someone does.
This is off the rails.
Do you have proof that the stores have a different MSRP on their items than the same store elsewhere?
I asked this same question a few days ago. Surprisingly it has remained unanswered.
I don't need to justify it with anything other than my perception.
As a consumer it's my choice to not go anywhere near it, because from what I saw last time at Downtown Disney, it was expensive.
That's fine. However, making a statement stating "Disney holidays are expensive enough as it is without overpriced stores that are cheaper anywhere else." is completely incorrect. There's a difference between having an opinion on not liking something and stating information that is not factual.

Do you pay the same price for a banana at a Disney Hotel convenience store as you would at Walmart?
Huh? So if you look at the number 9 you can perceive that it is really an 8?It's a perception. And one that'll mean they aren't getting my money.
