That's the annoying thing about this project.

I understand the reason for not announcing vendors yet, but at the moment, all they are building are empty shells for shops/restaurants and two parking garages. I can't get excited about that.

Yeah, I guess getting exciting over garages and "hollow shells" is a little much, but for me, it's the fact that it's starting. Something is being done, and hopefully continue until that something is a nice and much needed result.

With all the new local competition I am certain secrecy is vital. Steve has said that vendors are secured. That is all I need to know. Besides, the wait builds the suspense.

Forgot to mention that Festival Bay will also be joining the competition.

I'm curious to see what becomes of I-Drive Live, but this Festival Bay re-do sounds like a trainwreck waiting to happen. Definitely a shame, the original mall was and still is beautiful. Just upwards of 80% vacant.

Also, the Orlando Magic are building an entertainment zone near downtown.

I predict CityWalk will be replaced by a resort someday.

Can you explain it to me then? I can't think of a project like this in recent memory in central Florida that didn't at least announce anchor tenants by this point in construction. If deals are signed, they're signed, and if they're big enough that might attract other tenants. Even just announcing some Disney-owned tenants would build buzz and show the Mouse has "skin in the game" this time, unlike Hyperion Wharf or Flamingo Crossing.

I disagree. The Turkish Bizarre could be a unique attraction by itself. Also talk of a permanent outdoor entertainment stage with a variety of street foods. I think they are on the right track to capitalize on all the incredible investment going on in the region. I-Drive is on the rebound big time.
