Disney Springs construction begins

Ummm...those are two completely different areas and projects. They are building a new off ramp system for I-4E and the Osceola interchange, but that's about 4 or 5 miles to the west from the Palm Parkway to Vineland overpass that is being finished. The plans provided for the overpass to the Premium Outlets is from a private land company, similar to World Gateway/Xentury City, the new Osceola Pkwy ramp is a fully government thing.

ETA: Double checking the construction of the overpass to the Outlets, there's no way they're adding exits to the overpass, at least from I-4 to the overpass in either direction. They could add on-ramps to I-4 from the overpass, but the west bound one could be a traffic nightmare since traffic regularly backs up to about that overpass area.

Alright, thanks--Osceola Parkway could use some help as well, that exit is hellish now. Any truth to the rumor the I-4 overpass will somehow connect to Crossroads?

Nope, not directly, you'll still have to go down Palm to 535 and turn left. Its all pretty easy to see if you go on Google Maps, since the overpass is there in a state that you can see how the intersections on both ends will be laid out.

So this is going to be the first part of Disney Springs open? Has there been any permits filed for Ranglin Road? I hope it gets some kind of renovation to make it fit in and maybe a large dinning area.
I dont think there are any changes to Raglan Road. It already has huge capacity for a restaurant, so I don't see any additions there.

Looks like besides the West Side garage, Pleasure Island is probably first to get construction.

All of these permits are for PI and it's already mostly behind walls.

Rightfully so, considering it has been a ghost town for what seems like ages. I am excited for this, partially because Saratoga is our most frequent DVC destination, aside from AKL. It's always been great to have Downtown Disney just a short walk or boat ride away, almost like it is an extension of the resort itself. The Disney Springs plan will be an improvement on the current (already very nice in some respects) offering, no matter what they do.

They should change it to Ranglin' Road. A nice rodeo/saloon where there is a mechanical bull and the kids get to "rope" some radio controlled calves.
