The two parking garages are located behind the AMC and the other by T-Rex. In the middle of the two will be the bus loop.

There was a permit filed this week for "west garage project management" at 1606 E Buena Vista Dr which would put it near the former location of mannequins.

Well there is only 1 parking lot by T-Rex which is the same lot adjacent Mannequins. So that would have to be the "East" lot if the other one is going to be built further to the west by AMC. But I thought new stores and restaurants were going to be built in front of pleasure island which means this east lot would have to be built further out, closer to the highway.

Yes, basically the "T-Rex" Garage will be place where the cast service building is. Very close to the Buena Vista Drive.

That's a very interesting development. Given the refurb of DTD you would think they would hold out and see if things turned around for them. You also have to wonder if they bailed on their lease agreement which is unlikely. I wonder what that agreement was? I suppose it is just a formality in that they needed that space for the conversion of PI. I wouldn't be surprised to see them open somewhere in Disney Springs........no matter how many times I say it I still don't like it. Disney Springs, Disney Springs, Disney Springs.....nope.

I thought Apricot Lane was always supposed to be temporary.
Yes it was a pop up store, so somewhat temporary.

Yes, unless they take up space in Disney Springs at a later date.

I think I'm still missing a visual of the west parking lot. Here's the Staggs/Crofton pic:
I can see at the top (east) side of the pic, it looks like the parking garage takes up lots I, J, and K. But the bottom (west) garage... I'm not sure I see t-Rex. Is that the triangular building about 1/3rd up on the right, with a bit yellow/orange rock on the roof, or is that lego? What lots will the east side eat up? C and D? Or E too?

I have not been paying to this thread much but I was wondering if the parking lot is the only thing they are working on right now.

Apparently, about a year. And while that may seem long, I used to live in St Petersburg on the beach and a local tourist area (John's Pass) built a parking garage from scratch. It took about a year for them, but they also themed the outside so it didn't look like a parking garage from the outside. Lot of of facades and false windows and planters and such by the time they were through. I'm not sure Disney is going to go that far, but I assume it won't be the monolithic structure universal/city walk has (or will it?)
