Disney Quest to close in July 2017

I actually like the theater idea, you can customize any building anyway you want to.....of course with enough money ( I know, something Disney would not likely want to do). But in between Broadway productions why not have maybe some comedy acts, magic acts etc. Make it more upscale.....the price of the tickets would avoid the whole PI thing. Maybe have the Adventures club act there a few times a year. Third party? If there is money to be made I am sure there is one out there. I think it helps to provide some "adult" entertainment" that is needed at WDW.

Basically, you're saying that a Performing Arts Centers be built at Disney Springs. Touring Broadway plays/musicals (or the shortened Las Vegas residency versions), comedy, and music could be presented at such a venue. You could draw bands who sell more tickets than would fit at House Of Blues, but don't sell enough tickets to perform in an arena or amphitheater.

Nascar cafe anyone ???
If you mean adding NASCAR Cafe, that would be a horrible idea for Disney Springs. I follow auto racing starting with CART since the 1980's and been following NASCAR since 1993. I am saying that for 3 reasons.

1.) NASCAR has been the decline for a while. The Tv ratings are not what they were in 2005 and multiple race tracks have been cutting down amount seating due to able to fill them. The problem isn't going any better with Jeff Gordon now being retired and Tony Stewart not racing in NASCAR after 2016. It is more than legends getting old and retiring in terms of why Fans are leaving NASCAR. It is something I don't go into the news and rumors board.

2.) I don't think NASCAR is as popular overseas compare to F1. I bringing this up because WDW does get a lot of guests overseas. F1 worldwide is more popular than NASCAR, but NASCAR is more popular than F1 in the states for a while.

3.) I don't see Disney getting NASCAR Cafe because ESPN and ABC don't have the television rights to that series. Fox and NBC does have the NASCAR tv contract instead.

NASCAR is more than likely phasing out their "Sports Grilles", as they've been called for a few years now, in general. The Orlando location was their last one in operation, and the website for the restaurants now leads to a blank page. Shame, really. It was such a cool concept.

The fact that there are no windows is scary (in the event of a fire).

Windows don't make any difference for fire safety. As long as there are plenty of exit staircases with clear EXIT signage that has a battery backup.
Many attractions at WDW don't have windows and have plenty of fire exits and are perfectly safe.

The Orlando location closed some time ago and it's replacement has already opened.

im from England and am a huge nascar fan, I agree that nascar isn't as popular as formula 1 but of late it has become a lot closer in terms of viewers numbers of late, but in my opinion there is room for a sports bar/restaurant to be in Disney springs restricting to just the one sport as a theme isn't ever going to be as appealing

I am a major video game fan. That being said I have never been to Disney Quest because the last few trips I have had the opportunity to go, it didn't seem worth the cost knowing attractions are closed permanently and others not at full capacity causing long lines. I would like to see it refurbished but I don't see it happening.

This is the same company that removed all the tickets dispensing from the redemption games from all over the resort arcades, making the point of the majority of games there worthless if the whole reason why of playing those games was to earn tickets (not counting the video games like Mario Kart). If they can't even handle that right, I don't thing they can or are willing to properly refurbish Disney Quest.

Don't worry, with the Nintendo deal Universal will have Disney's slack covered, yet again. ;)

It would be cool if they did a Mos Eisley cantina/Star Wars themed restaurant since they don't seem to be putting one in MGM.

Or, if they want to keep everything SW in MGM do a Pixar themed restaurant which would allow them to take out Pizza Planet at the park. Each floor could be themed to a different decade or theme of the Pixar movies. Toy Story and Cars (which would please nascar fans) each get a floor and then they could spread the other movies out on the remaining floors.

Anything but another generic sports bar.
