so? you really think they were sitting around at a table one day and said "ya know, our wand is just not cutting it... we really need to make it look like the Harry Potter wand because...well... we need to get on that train" lol
No, I really don't and I've made it clear already that I really don't.

Which post? Everything I said are legitimate rumors that have been going around. I'm not the kind of person who would make stuff up and pass myself off as an insider. These are things that other people have stated are coming to UOR.
legitimate rumors. o_O

Of course you are correct. Still, Getting chased by the big bad is pretty formulaic.

Formulaic as it may be, that's no guarantee that the typical formula is what will be used. Besides, the statement we are discussing here was only one of several that were shortsighted or otherwise illogical, all coming from the same person.

If I may weigh in here....

I've noticed people saying that Uni is doing SOOOO much, and then they list a whole bunch of rumors and say they are projects coming soon. And then they say that Disney is doing nothing...why dont you list all of Disney's rumors? Is that a truly fair comparison?

I am done.

Maybe it's because almost every rumor regarding Universal has turned out to be true.

A lot of what Universal has planned is definitely rumors, no doubt. But the company's parks and resorts head said recently the next few years for Universal Orlando is more or less set, and they will be building mutliple new resorts and attractions to keep people coming back.

Because there really are no Disney rumors to be excited about. Believe me, if there were, I would be one of the most excited people here. Frozen Maelstrom is the one that seems the most likely and that makes me the complete and utter opposite of excited. Star Wars will definitely happen, eventually. I'm waiting for specifics, whether they be from Disney or an insider, on what is included before jumping on the hype train. Right now all that's being talked about is a spinner ride wise, and well, you could see why I'm not "over the moon" just yet.

Because the rumors are more about what they aren't doing. Of what they are, it's all Avatar, star wars, eventually, maybe frozen overlays, soaring updates, imagination redo. Other things were rumored then either canned or proven false.

Main reason for it is Universal has the momentum and the track record this decade.

And this Universal Parks & Resorts president Tom Williams quote "We've already got the next five years planned out. We already know what we're going to do after Diagon Alley. Plus 2015 will be the 25th anniversary of the opening of Universal Orlando. So we've got something special in the works for that as well,"

Nothing other than Avatar on the Disney side like that, for better or worse.

Hey, don't discount Disney's revamped mall.

I don't agree there. Star Wars done correctly could be very exciting

Star Wars definitely has the potential to be exciting, as does Avatar... I'm not a huge fan of Avatar as a film, but the environment could really provide for some interesting settings and great rides. And Star Wars hasn't even been approved yet according to the people here who usually have the most accurate information, so that's completely up in the air.

Other than that, though, how long did it take Disney to open 7DMT? NFL is cool and all, but it doesn't hold a flame to HP. Everything else I've seen in terms of Disney projects lately (events aside... I'm talking about permanent additions here) is more about parking lots, DVC, and shopping.

I can't wait to see what happens when Star Wars does get the green light. I hope it's as awesome as the best speculations make it out to be.

So that's why they're building a new King Kong ride. What better way to celebrate the anniversary than the return of a classic? Smart move. I wouldn't be surprised if the ride is advertised in that exact fashion.
