Has anyone else noticed that now on the Disney channel cast from Jesse especially are using magic wands like Harry Potter's to create the Mickey head. They used to use different color rods before but the wands have popped up recently. It looks like they are trying to jump on the Potter gravy train to me. I just wondered if anyone else had noticed this and yes I watch the Disney channel so shoot me.

Now more than ever, however the wand/glowing stick has gone through changes over the years. Kim Possible's promo used a magician's wand (rabbit out of the hat type, not HP) but then newer shows had a super crazy glowing stick thing, almost light sabre, and now it's more just a stick, but yes, I can see the wand correlation.

I love how on these forums if someone doesn't agree that Uni is and has the best things ever created ever they are a troll..
I think people are upset with members who completely ignore Uni's advancements, because the attitude reinforces Disney's current trajectory of maintaining the status quo.

Personally, nothing at Uni excites me except for HP and the Hulk coaster.

I also have to admit my visits to WDW were much better in the early to mid-90s, back when they maintained everything and kept premiering cutting-edge attractions.

The "Mickey wand" has been a thing for at least a decade now.

God bless the "Ignore" button.
are you all actually serious? You really think that Disney Channel stars are drawing the mickey head using "magic wands like Harry Potter" ...."trying to jump on the Potter gravy train"

LOL!!! wow... I have seen it all on here now
Are your feet cold? Cause I actually agree with you on this one.

How do you know that the ride involves getting chased by anything? Unless you really did know the ride was being built and are just trying to stir up drama? There are definitely other avenues that the ride could take. Sorry, but that's one of the most outlandish things in this thread yet.
This entire thread is drama. That being said, the old King Kong ride was about getting chased by a huge gorilla (sort of). It isn't too much of a leep to assume that this one will follow the same idea.

... you're making a lot of assumptions and are being very judgmental about things that your own statements make very clear that you don't have enough information from which to make fair judgments.
That's what people do here. I thought that it was in the TOU.

Not only King Kong but also Dr. Seuss expansion, Jurassic Park expansion, KidZone overhaul, more Harry Potter (rumors seem to indicate the Ministry of Magic is next and will take over Fear Factor), possible replacements for Toon Lagoon and Lost Continent, more hotels, a huge quality water park and a brand new third theme park that could possibly be on the level of Tokyo DisneySea.View attachment 58659 These are very exciting times for Universal Orlando.
Wow. You should take a read of the post right above yours.

To @skimbob 's point, and not that I think this is truly a TWDC jumping on an HP train, but what's he was referring to were these current promos. You'll see, the wand is not the same as what the Hilary Duff promo above had.

No contesting the drama statement, but I disagree about the assumptions about the ride. Saying that the old ride is any indication of what the new ride is would be like assuming when SWSA closed that we would be getting another Snow White dark ride. Yes, 7DMT has a dark scene, but it's hardly the same setup. If people were going around saying the Kong ride was being refurbished, it might be more reasonable to assume it would be a similar ride when it opens; but that's not what is being said. The ride is being "built," which leads me to think it's something different.

Of course you are correct. Still, Getting chased by the big bad is pretty formulaic.

so? you really think they were sitting around at a table one day and said "ya know, our wand is just not cutting it... we really need to make it look like the Harry Potter wand because...well... we need to get on that train" lol

Which post? Everything I said are legitimate rumors that have been going around. I'm not the kind of person who would make stuff up and pass myself off as an insider. These are things that other reliable people have stated are coming to UOR.
