Disney Playing catch up with Universal... Potter Disney's biggest mistake in 20 years...

I am saying that you are misusing the word. 'Stagnant' doesn't mean what you think it does. Also, your question was slanted to only give the answer that you are fishing for.
So basically everything anybody says to you is either slanted, changing the topic, misrepresenting, attributing falsehoods, twisting your words, or misreading your posts. Either everybody is constantly guilty of doing all these things...or...maybe your just wrong, which would make more sense than everybody else making stuff up. I'm sure this whole post conveniently falls under one of your categories or you will make up a new one.

Correction: Disney COULD have done better. Dollars to doughnuts says that they WOULD not have done better.
Also, Uni takes great care of keeping their buildings looking good, and it's probably in their Potter contract that it has to be repainted every so often. So... you know, there's that.

I'm still unconvinced that Disney could have done better. The "flaws" that fanbois mention are such nitpicks that they are inevitable in any project, Disney or Universal or whomever.

They should be pushing a ride every 4 years to each park at WDW. That would equal one new ride per each park a year.
I think that it would be great if they did this, but is it sustainable? At what point do you find that a theme park is big enough and that the attractions are all keepers?

We as human beings are much to generous in believing everyone has the same level of reading comprehension as ourselves. I prefer pictures myself.

In other words, things have been stagnant. :)
I don't think anyone will disagree with the fact that DHS needs to be upgraded. If they do they should stat ahead of both Universal Parks. If they don't, they will fall behind. The biggest problem all 3 parks have is size. They are all small. DHS can't grow unless they replace the back stage tour and the car stund show. If they do get rid of them and use the space wisely, they are still capped at about 15 million unless they expand into the parking lots. There is a physical limit that all the theme parks have, no matter how many rides you put in a park, it can only hold so many people. In fact, there comes a point that adding more rides will actually cut the maximum capacity a park has because people take a certain amount of space and so do rides.

Star Wars is the key. Build it and it will be huge. 10,000,000 lightsbabers a year are sold. I just can't believe that but it's true.

You will find that I readily agree with all or part of many people's posts. I also disagree with many people's positions, but recognize that our disagreement is based on individual feelings. Sometimes, I disagree with someone because I believe that they are wrong on the facts. Finally, when someone attempts to debate using less than honorable methods, I'm pretty likely to call shenanigans.

Well, not sure if it's sustainable but for the foreseeable future it is.
Epcot, DHS, AK need help. MK just added two new rides.
They could easily add new rides at Epcot, DHD, AK for the foreseeable future. One ride every 4 years at each of those parks. That isn't asking much and should be required by Disney.
MK might be a little more tricky with lack of space. They would have to close rides to add new ones I think. I'm really not sure about space restraints at MK.

No. The mere fact that they didn't do one thing doesn't mean that they didn't do anything.

So, instead of Cars or Star Wars in Hollywood Studios, what have they done instead - either last couple years or presently? If the answer is nothing substantial, that meets the definition of stagnant no matter how many times you say it doesn't.

I'm completely in agreement with your post. I just have been thinking of the sustainability thing because a number of posts have been made lately regarding adding attractions to each park regularly and seemingly in perpetuity.

Fast and Furious + museum + nighttime show + Kong for 2015
KidZone + Hotel 5 + JP expansion for 2016
Seuss + waterpark for 2017

That's a fairly realistic lineup for the next few years... then aside from the mystery plot and LC/Toon, there's nothing major to be done. Just replacements/refurbishments here and there.
do we know fast and furious is coming? I know its going to hollywood

I listed some things that they've been doing recently in my original reply to nor'easter's post that started this entire conversation.

It's fine that you guys want to tag team and feel good about slapping hands and other things, but you should at least pay attention to the subthreads that you are jumping around in.

Clearly, that's just your opinion of what the word means, which you've obviously slanted to fit your usage.

Words have meanings. Something will never mean nothing no matter how often you insist differently.

Also, don't think that I didn't notice that CDavid 'moved the goalposts'.

It is unfair to say that they are stagnant. They just built NFL. They are continuing the MM+ rollout. They are building Avatar. Things are happening there. People might disagree on whether they love those things, but it's unfair to ignore that they are doing things.

You mean the post quoted above? We were talking about Hollywood Studios recent additions:

New Fantasyland is located in the Magic Kingdom, not Hollywood Studios.
Avatar is to be located in Animal Kingdom, not Hollywood Studios.
MyMagic+ is not an attraction. If you can explain how to ride a Magic Band, or how a band can sing & dance for you in a show, then it qualifies.

How does any of the above constitute an addition to Hollywood Studios, which was the question asked.

So again, about Hollywood Studios, what are the "things" you contend are happening there? Because if there aren't any, it's that "S" word again.
