You can get those rates at the 2 new resorts

They are also surrounded by plenty of cheaper options on I Drive. I really donā€™t see the value in those hotels, at least the other ones are in ā€œthe bubbleā€.

Iā€™m not looking down on them either, I just historically stayed at the Four Points tower there and still would for half the price.

Of course, Disney in its many forms is just as if not more guilty.

I'm not going to defend the exterior, but the interiors are fantastic. Rooms are some of the best in Orlando and the amenities are on par with a moderate at WDW.

The goal was to provide a place to shower and sleep while spending the day at the parks with free transportation. Wasn't really meant to be a resort like the others for week long stays.
We did a tour with Universal and had put up some pictures on the Kingdom Konsultant Blog not too long ago: http://www.kingdomkonsultantblog.com/2020/01/photo-tour-universals-endless-summer.html Feel free to check it out!! Marie

We spend most of our time in the parks, just need a comfortable place to sleep --wish WDW had some bare bones low cost resort
they have bare bones (All Star) but it is not low cost. All Star was built to be their low cost option....and then they got greedy and brought the prices for their stripped down motel up into the price of a moderate...Moderate prices went up to the price of a Premium resort and Premium resort prices went up and over Luxury brand prices...while still being just a premium. Disney does not really have a true Luxury option that I have seen...

Last week of July, All Stars are under $200 rack rate. That's pretty good.

If you go in the last week of June with a discount, you're at $151 or $190 at Pop.

Pretty low cost if you ask me. For a Family of 4.

Some people like that, I don't and it caused friction

The only bed is the sofa pull out or murphy drop down?

Found a bunch of random images from a google search. They all looked the same.

edit:

Looks like the change is pulldown bed instead of the love seat?

Yeah, low cost compared to the other WDW options lol

Same price offsite can get you a nicer hotel.

Which ones? Univeral is about $10 cheaper or so in those time frames. Others have better rates but additional fees that make them comparable.

Most of the major brands like Hyatt, Hilton or Marriot are the same or more.
