We all know by now things are subject to change, especially for WDW. My personal opinion is Iger will talk up stuff but will be playing the waiting game to see what happens with EPIC before REACTING in WDW.
I would too if I was Iger . Wait and see if EPIC is a success or failure and plan accordingly.

That was never Disney's way of doing things. They didnt follow the trends, they made them. They were held to a higher standard, because they held themselves to a higher standard. Also if you wait that long, You are looking at nothing new until probably the end of the decade. Can they wait that long to start trying to draw people back?? What are the risks of operating that way? That is the million dollar question. Marie

i dont think theres much dispute over if epic universe will be succesfull. Its gonna be a fun new park and get millions of visitors. We already know what its gonna look like and most of the rides and it seems like mostly a great park imo.

For Disney it's different but when it comes to parks in general the majority add new attractions constantly.
One can critic easily when one doesn't sit in Iger's shoes. If EPIC blows up in Comcast's face, that would save Disney billions in investment in some areas, and Disney can move the billions to another part of the company's future plans. If EPIC is successful then Disney will plan accordingly. EPIC to our family is a side trip / 1-2 excursion while we enjoy WDW as we have always done. We've never visited Orlando and spent the whole time at Uni and probably never will.

Their millions and some that have billions in net worth will outlive them.
We know, deep, deep down inside of Iger's mind he says to himself, "What's the worst that can happen, I can't turn things around, I am removed, I blame Chapek and I live happily ever after like a KING on my net worth that will out live me."

Chapek got off cheap thanks to Disney. He left with a $23M exit package. Ovitz who reported to Eisner in the mid 1990s, and Ovitz walked away with over a $110M exit package.

Decades from now after Iger leaves in disgrace, folks will say how great he was too.
Eisner got rattled more easily than Iger. When 2 guys took Disney to court claiming that ESPN sports complex was their idea , Disney did not settle and took the guys to court. On the stand, Eisner was grilled by the lawyers. He broke , end result the guys won the court case and were awarded over $200M.

I would take 23M to be fired in disgrace ANY DAY!! And Chapek has a new job now anyway.

All these people at this level always leave with beautiful packages. That is why whatever happens in reality does not matter to them.

And you do it to derail conversations, make things up, and pretend like you know what you’re talking about?
My accuracy level over time tends to prove Itself. Annoying everyone including myself to a large degree.

But you’re doing that “I now things” from Orlando routine. So tired. Anyone can innuendo their own self-determined resume. That’s been going since list serves.

Say it or don’t…but you can’t lecture based on “hinting”

You described many powerful and influential execs and officials that peddle their Kool-Aid and many free willingly line up to drink. Some are experts in - " if you repeat a lie over and over again, it eventually becomes the truth. "

To each his own. If Eisner was so good, why was he forced out by the shareholders . He left in disgrace.
First shareholders don't know anything, especially when it comes to parks. Second Eisner really only failed at the end when Wells was no longer there.

The parks need constant added capacity. It's how parks are supposed to be run.
