Hmmm.

I'm not an annual passholder. I have hoppers and booked at a Disney resort. I only have the option to cancel, not modify. The picture above, mine looks just like that, but only has the cancel option. April 2023 trip.

That's annoying! :D We've got time. I'll just wait and let it shake itself out.
You're lucky you have time to let it work itself out. (I mean that sincerely). People going in the next few days or weeks don't have that luxury. :(

Seriously, why do they have to make every little thing so complicated? 👿

Oh definitely. That's also why I'm not worrying about when they finally decide to charge my card and ship my magic band +! 😂

(although I do wonder if the styles we chose will be gone by the time they ship)

So I think the fact that reservations are linked to a ticket not a guest also means that if you switch from a room-only with separate tickets to a package, or vice versa, then you will lose your park reservations and need to rebook.

Previously if you changed then as long as you still had tickets linked to you then you were fine. It could be another attempt to discourage people from changing their resort stays.

Ok so here is what happened today to my MDE. If I go to MDE it lists under Future Plans each ticket separately. It also routed me to Disneyworld.Disney.go.com where it individually lists each person, date, park reservation and reservation confirmation number. So what I am confused about now is how this will impact making Genie+ and ILLs. Will I have to do it individually for each ticket now? Is there a way to relink them? Why did it send me off to Disneyworld.Disney.go from MDE? Sorry haven‘t been back in 13 years, this is all quite confusing.

Update - modify reservation was there this morning! Hopefully everyone else's issues have resolved too.

I've always been sent to the "desktop" site when I want to either manage my magic bands or reservations in MDE app on phone. They should still be linked as friends/family traveling together.

I still don't understand why it is not built into the app. Or go away all together.

The whole part of just relaxing and enjoying your vacation is so structured. Just gets old after a while. I will still go, it just takes away a little of the experience. I loved to wake up and just say... OK.. what part do we feel like today? Now you constantly review a calendar like I do all day at work. LOL

Unfortunately mine still has everyone separated so I can't modify the whole group even though we were originally scheduled together.

Oh well yes, I would still have to modify us separately, but at least now I have the option! 😂

I can go in an modify our reservations to be based on resort instead of ticket, then we would be "grouped" together. But that's too much work when in actuality I don't modify all that much.

Cancel all of them and rebook them. It looks cleaner and you can modify them all in a group if needed.

That's what I did this morning haha.

I just did the same - (50 park-person days X 5 clicks for each cancellation) + (8 clicks for each reservation X 8 park days in 2022) + (5 clicks for each reservation X 5 park days in 2023) + 1 click when I was randomly required to re-login = 340 clicks to get my reservations to look like they did 48 hours ago.

That pain in the rear aside, the new system is a little easier to use - when you select which ticket you want to book for, it takes you right to the eligible days instead of making you thumb through the calendar until you get to the right month. So hopefully going forward, this will be a good thing.

Someone above did ask if it is going to matter that your entire party is on the same park pass reservation when it comes to making G+/ILL/VQ selections, and I would love to hear an answer from anyone with experience on that.

After I got finished I ended up with 36 email confirmations. LOL

I don’t doubt you, and it’s what I would do too (may have to when I get around to checking ours).

But it does kind of defeat the purpose of being able to modify them, doesn’t it? 🙄😆

For some reason you have to book park reservations through the website. No point in asking why, this is Disney IT at its “finest”!

As long as everyone is linked as friends and family in MDE you should be able to book G+ and ILLs.

Or you could cancel them and rebook together which seems to work better.

We had dinner last week at brown derby, and we don't dine on property often at all but when we brought out our card for the AP discount, the waitress needed to see my number and expiration date in the app.. That was a first for us.

Yesterday I had no problem anywhere showing the pass, one or two asked for a license and that was no big deal.
But I got chewed out at World of Disney. She wanted to see the app only, which I dont have on my phone because it doesnt work. And I got reprimanded like I was in third grade. I should have demanded to see a manager right then and there, could kind of kick myself for not doing so now. For some reason she chose me to pick a fight with but that just should not be happening to anyone.

Do either of you have updated cards? I've always gotten away with just a card, even the trip we took last week. Usually just pull out the card (flipped to the back side for name and date) and my ID (so I don't have to dig if they do ask) and am good to go. But I make sure I get a new card each year so it has the current year on it. If you're using a card that says say 2020-2021 on the back, even though it's still good for entry etc, the person looking at it wouldn't know you still have a valid pass.

They will eventually be making it so that you must show the app. They've already done this for DVC discounts.

Ahhh, we are still using the yellow card.. We never bothered to get the new design.
