I use Mickey Bars to make sure I get my money's worth out of AH events. All I have to do is eat 20 of them. And if I get full before all 20, I still get one and then just throw it in the bushes. It's like I can't afford to *not* go to an AH event!
YOU JUST JINXED IT! WDW will phase out the free Mickey Bars!!

Just kidding it's not you.

Its WDW's standard operating procedure to take away all that is really liked by the guests.

I’d just hand them out to kids whose parents look like they are already close to snapping due to exhaustion and lack of sleep. 😉

No…not at all

You blame everyone who is standing in the park at 10 pm AFTER they reduce the return.

Same as always. It’s a philosophical issue and has been for a long time.
Yep; it has been discussed ad nausuem.

Don't give them your money for these "ancillary" (and oft formerly free) experiences. If enough make the same decision, then Disney will get the hint. Until then, Mickey will laugh on his way to the bank

Of course. Wasn’t sure if you were referring to the nimrod “giving the sheeple what they want” (at extortionist prices) or the people too stupid to realize they’re being fleeced by the company they think is “MAGICAL!!!”.

Oops, sorry not sorry to offend those paying for this crap. I’m friends with some of them, but I’m not saying anything about it this time because their upcoming trip is thrice-delayed for reasons out of their control. And they truly deserve this trip.

Now we know why they decided to start selling annual passes again. If only AP’s need to make park reservations, then they can just keep AP’s out on all the busy days by “running out of reservations, oops!” Can’t wait till they get sued again.

They included language in the terms and conditions for renewals and new purchases to cover that:

"To enter a Walt Disney World® Resort theme park, each Passholder is required to have both a theme park reservation and Pass valid for admission to the same park on the same date they plan to visit. With the purchase of a Pass, Passholders become eligible to make park reservations to visit during their Pass term. Park reservations for Passholders are limited in number and subject to the availability of park reservations allocated to Passes as determined by Disney,"

They're technically right, as reservations will still be needed for APs and some other ticket versions. But in the spirit of what I was speaking of and what they replied to, they were very wrong.

They already changed it so a reservation is automatically included with a date based ticket. This is really no net change, but just removing the reservation requirement on the backend

Obviously, they are not entirely going away. But the vast majority of people visiting WDW are using date-based tickets, so it is going away for the majority of guests.
In reality it's not going away. The way it's worded when you purchase your date based ticket you still are picking the day you are going to the park.
