I would really love to have some of the music from Magic Kingdom, like Wishes, the parade music & the opening song. Does anyone know if there is a soundtrack for it that I can order OR can I download it from someplace and pay for it? I am trying to make a CD for our trip.

P.S. I would also like Big Blue World from the Nemo Musical.....:)

There is a 2 disk set out called WDW The Happiest Celebration on Earth, featuring the Welcome Medley and lots of other great songs. As far as I know, it is the latest one out...but someone correct me if I'm wrong, so I can go out and get the new one!

Check it out here.. great CD set...I listen to it everyday!

This is also a good one... a few different songs that the other does not have.

I have a CD called Magic in the Streets that contains the soundtracks of the Share a Dream Come True, Stars and Motor Cars, and Mickey's Jammin Jungle parades.

Bought it at WDW during the 100 Years of Magic celebration, but I believe it is stil for sale. Of course, that doesn't do you any good for a pre-trip CD.

According to Disney.com, there is a lot of Disney music for sale at iTunes, have you checked there? (I'm probably the only person in the world who doesn't have an ipod, so I've never looked at iTunes )

Edit: I checked Amazon.com, and there are some copies available: http://www.amazon.com/Magic-Streets/dp/B0007YAOBO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1236361430&sr=1-1. The page also shows some other good WDW CDs, including Wishes.

Thank you for the link!! I also saw the Wishes CD, but is it just wishes or is there other park music on it? Anyone know? I hate to pay 15.00 for the Wishes song. :lookaroun

This is a good place for you to have a look at.

I would also suggest calling up WDW mail order. They have CDs available for sale in the parks. If you call up Disney directly and tell them what ones you want, they will mail them out to you. They can get kind of pricey, but some of them are worth it.

I have thought about calling them, but I thought I would start here and see if anyone could suggest the best ones. I need some that the kids would enjoy so not all instrumental. Any other ideas... I will order the Magic in the Streets, that sounds like a great one.

It is just Wishes. The entire show, but yes, only about 25-30 minutes of music.

I love the Finding Nemo The Musical album. You can get it off iTunes for cheaper than at the parks.

There is a newer version of this album, entitled "Four Parks, One World." Some of the older tracks have been replaced with newer ones, like the new score for Spaceship Earth and the music (including Big Blue World) from The Seas with Nemo and Friends.

To the OP, my recommendations would be:
Four Parks, One World
Wishes (the fireworks show version--there's a "Disney Wishes" album that is not the fireworks show)
SpectroMagic
Magic in the Streets (though the only parade music that is still played at WDW is Jammin' Jungle Parade. The other three parades on this CD have been retired)
Finding Nemo: The Musical

Note that the Wishes CD also includes the exit music for the show--sort of a soft rock version of the main show theme. Other CDs currently available from WDW are:
Festival of the Lion King
Fantasmic (Includes both the WDW and DL versions)
Music from Disney's Animal Kingdom
Tapestry of Dreams/Illuminations: Reflections of Earth
Candlelight Processional
Plus many others from the many performing groups, like Voices of Liberty.

I'm suprised that nobody has mentioned mousebits. You have to register and be somewhat familiar with torrents, but it's easy enough. Lots of free park music and videos.

Also, I love live365. It's internet radio that has some great disney channels. Listen to park music and preshows on your computer, even monorail tracks. Again, you have to register, but no big deal. And if you really want to, you could record the streaming music using most any freeware audio program.

I think it might because the OP requested sites to buy. Although Mousebits takes some what of a moral high ground with the policy of we won't put it on the sight if you can buy it. I don't know if this makes it legal but it makes me feel better when using it lol.

The information on ParkTunes is not accurate in many respects. Second, not only is it not accurate, it was taken without permission from sites like www.magicmusic.net or www.disneymusicloops.com. The songs on ParkTunes, including the completely inaccurate ones, when bought, give Ricky Brigante his commissions. The Animal Kingdom Lodge playlist, for example, took countless hours to find places to record and to actually record the background music. This doesn't include any of the time or money to acquire the original CDs and identify all of those African-pop songs.

Another prop for Mousebits, here.

All I did was yahoo search "disney world park music" and parktunes was the first one that came up...

I have tried to understand subsonic radio for awhile now...how does it work?

I did have the same problem with mousebits before I learned about torrents.
