People are looking to be aggrieved. Leaving aside the obvious explanation for the change (that "jolly holiday" is meant to refer to the name of the event itself), it was very easy to check the validity of the censorship theory by watching a few minutes of the rest of the show. It turns out Mickey himself utters the word multiple times.

People would save themselves a lot of needless stress if they took a few simple steps before jumping to conclusions.
I watched the show online. I was not stressed. I just laughed aloud when the cast said to “sing along” to a song I never heard before…until I realized I did know the song. They just changed the chorus and never told anyone. THAT was the awkward part.

You disagreed with me earlier when I said the event was clearly centred on Christmas, citing censorship of the word as evidence to the contrary. I'm happy to set the record straight if I misunderstood you.

But if they really wanted to not reference Christmas at this event why would they pick a property to use at it that has the word Christmas in the title?

I agree changing words are a song along is a bit awkward and there are a ton of things wrong with this event, but I think this is searching for issues that aren't there
Jingle Bell Jingle Bam also references Christmas

They also refer to the Christmas trees as 'Holiday Trees' now, at least in the DHS tree lighting 'ceremony.'
For what it's worth, there are uses of that term here on wdwmagic.com going back two decades. I imagine they reflect Disney's official verbiage, so it's nothing new.

If it makes you feel better or worse, I thought it was Sea World that changed the lyrics at first! It does make sense that it was part of the show - that wasn’t clear at first.
