I will give you this: they have had a lot of misses with the property. I just donā€™t think they ā€œgetā€ them. But have you tried Muppets Haunted Mansion? It really was great!
And...why are you blaming Disney for their failures? Disney pretty much gives the hacks behind the puppets free rein. AND has invested a lot of capital with little return. I blame the suits at Disney for a lot of things, but the puppets' continual failure isn't one of them.

The lanyard is the gift for attending, I guess?

Well, guests also got coasters when the left but maybe that is part of it

But if people will be checking for them for gaining access to areas then everyone attending needs to be provided one - and then if so, why the bracket too?

The whole wristband/lanyard thing is mind blowing.
Yeah. I don't get it. Clearly people who've been to MVMCP expected only a wristband. Why would you need both? I've been to events that had only a lanyard for ID which is fine. It's either one or the other, Disney. Pick one.

Jeez. Did Kermit the Frog kill your mother or something? The Muppets are such a random thing to hate. They didn't do anything to you!

The problem with the muppets is youā€™ll never get a variety show with that level of star power again(relative to the time period) best you could hope for is the candlelight narration circuit. The franchise peaked with Henson and will never come close again.

Fair point. I do wish Disney would let them try their hands at a variety show again, though.

Thatā€™s ancient and has been scrubbed from the history books
Good thing I managed to see one Living Statue at Disney Spring near the Cirque theater around late April 2015. I remember the statue was looking at my autograph which I was holding when my picture was taken.

Glad Busch Gardens Tampa and Sea World Orlando is keeping this alive during the Christmas season.

They also have interactive Toy Soldiers at Busch Gardens.

What number did you call? I eventually got transferred to ticket services and they said they could only roll it into another special event. Suggested a gift card but they said they couldnā€™t. Probably have to call again later.
What did you say your reason for asking for a refund was?

I was transferred to a supervisor, and I pleaded my case. I didnā€™t mention the bad reviews and focused on something that might get an exception more easily.

I focused on the minimal information available at the time that the event was originally announced. Mainly once realizing that the event was more focused on food and beverage rather than entertainment, I felt that it was not an appropriate event for our toddler to come with us. And due to the short notice, we cannot arrange for childcare.

Beyond that, I stated that I am a loyal guest, AP for over a decade (cumulative), who spends tens of thousands annually at the parks.

I finally asked if there was any exceptions, and they agreed to make a one time exception.

I must have gotten the right CM, because they agreed to make a one time exception.

What I will add, they offered to change the tickets for Christmas party, but I mentioned we already have tickets for the Christmas party next month, and thatā€™s when the refund was offered.
