I'm perfectly comfortable saying that from sources I trust, WDI is working on a Star Wars land. Future location to be determined.
. . .
Isn't that just Disney's version of Microsoft's Illumiroom?
You know, there are certain things a city must have before it can be recognized as a city, such as animal shelters, a post office, and so on. For Disney theme parks, it's a similar situation for "lands". For a land to be recognized as a "land" at Disney theme parks, it must have the following:
(a) two or more similarly themed attractions;
(b) at least one similiarly themed restaurant;
(c) at least one similiarly themed gift shop;
(d) matching outside similar theming for streets, walkways, building facades, lighting and utility ornaments;
(e) similiarly themed rest room areas;
and (f) (most important) at least five similiarly themed Meet & Greet areas.
If an area meets all criteria listed above, then (and only then) is it officially recognized by Disney as being a "land".

Not at all surprised that some Star Wars land development stuff will be shown at D23, heard about the possibility many months ago. Disney did send out a questionnaire to both coasts concerning a Star Wars land.
Don't say me name three times unless you really want me to show up!
I was pretty sure that nothing major would be announced at D23. Not at all surprised that this is the case.

Wonder if we'll see any hints about Imagination.
I'm trying to find a way. How much money?yea this is really the million dollar question. Is anyone here going to D23? I would actually pay someone good money to bug kathy magnum (assuming she is there) about an imagination redo, Dreamfinder, Baxter involvement, etc.
Hard to believe the expo coming up will be barely under 2 years after the official Avatar announcement.I have to agree...Avatar has been teased forever and nothing.
What? You've been saying there won't be any big expenditures in the parks other than avatarland you've been arguing with everyone about that? You remind me of jt04.
