Yes, they are building there, just as soon as they finish the park in Branson, MO, Houston, TX, Phoenix Arizona, Juneau Alaska and Walla Walla Washington

Don't forget Nashville, TN!!!! :sohappy:

No.

The government of Dubai would not allow Disney in as it would interfere with Dubailand.

Disney also isn't interested in building parks in countries that are built on only one commodity, because nations like Dubai will be as barren economically as it is environmentally when the oil dries up.

The email must be circulating around again because a friend of mine from work who is also a Disney enthusiast, showed me that "article" sent to her yesterday. I was skeptical because having checked these boards muliple times a day I hadn't read a single thing about it that day. I told her I didn't think it was true but she was convinced.
When I came home and checked the boards and didn't see a single mention of it, I knew there was no way it could have been true.

If there's ever going to be a new Disney in North America it'll be somewhere where they can afford to purchase a huge... tract of land, and it'll have to be close-ish to a high traffic area.

Disney Toronto anyone?

As long as it's not in a swamp, right? :)

Well, Orlando wasn't exactly a high traffic area when WDW was built.

If you build it, they will come.

My comment about the swamp was a joke in response to his orignal post of

I could only wish this rumor was true.... I'd be there every weekend...

It must be Summer... Now I'm waiting for the Sorcerer's Hat, Spaceship Earth and Beastly Kingdom threads to start popping up... Then we'll have filled our quota. :brick:

Nope...not quite.
We'd still be lacking 4 or 5 monorail expansion threads.:D

I hear now Night Kingdom will be built INSIDE a Monorail, and the expanded track will take you all the way to Houston to so you arrive there the following morning at Disneyland Texas.

Oh it's comming.

History Channel just broadcast a behind the scenes at WDW, or history of WDW or some such thing.

And in it they discuss the monorail.

And in that section they state ...... "It cost a million dollars a mile"

let the threads begin :)
