Still wish they just enhanced HEA with a golden finale for 50th; I know the bad rep character-laden shows get here but HEA was one that I think did it right by pulling from both old and new. To do it all over again for DE seems like a lateral move at best.
Yeah. At least HEA got that small little projection enhancement with the 50th decorations. Small but appreciated in my opinion because given the direction Chapek is taking the company as of now, Disney could have easily done nothing at all.

I'm going to really miss Happily Ever After. I still don't think it's settled with me yet that it will truly be gone forever if they don't bring it back in 2023. The dread I'm going wake up with on September 30th is going to be awful. Eventually, HEA will mean as much to the Magic Kingdom as Illuminations did to Epcot.

I'm disappointed that DE will take a similar approach as HEA did because I would much rather just keep HEA around with enhancements. I also don't know how I feel about it being based around more recent movies. Movies like Soul or that other movie with the two brothers are good movies, don't get me wrong, but I don't feel like they've really cemented their place in Disney cinematic history just yet. They don't feel like they have the same level of prestige and legitimacy as Coco, Lion King, PatF, and others do.

If I were the CEO and I had it my way, DE would be more of a Disneyland Forever situation/set-up or maybe even have throwbacks to previous spectaculars. I'd also have a full nighttime parade and a full pyro display for Once Upon a Time but you know that's just me lol.

I’d have an “e-ticket in the sky” like Remember AND show fantasy in the sky nightly! Seperate them enough so that most guests will pick one or the other - that would help with crowding.

and of course have a night parade showing 2 times a night as well.

I hope they didn't cut castle pyro on final performance of HEA and reverted them to original version. I also hope to have more castle pyro in DE. Some elements of castle pyro in all original firework shows have been cut in Disneyland since 2019 premiere of Mickey's Mix Magic in order to make more small-size fireworks behind IASW, which i see very disappointed.

Disneyland Forever (pyro-cut version)

Halloween Screams (pyro-cut version)

Believe in Holiday Magic (pyro-cut version)

I'm such a pyromaniac that if I were CEO, I would find any and every reason to throw a firework show in guest faces multiple times in one night. I would probably hold a seasonal event where Wishes, Fantasy in the Sky, Happily Ever After, and Disney Enchantment (if it's good) have a rotational cycle throughout each week lol. The entertainment division would cause the entire company to bleed money WITHOUT a pandemic if I were CEO for at least 15 years.

Did you ever see the Pirates and Princess Show? It later ran for a full summer at MK. Probably my favorite of all of them. I was hoping it would return at some point

If lasers are confirmed in Disney's Enchantment, i hope that they place the laser in the centre on castle's balcony like Disneyland.

This gives me hope for the orchestration - it feels rich and full, which I didn't get as much from HEA's theme or the initial DE video that previewed the song.

Some of the comments on this TikTok are to the effect of "I hope this is worth getting rid of HEA," though, and I wholeheartedly agree with that statement.

It’s okay to pull a World of Color and have something special for a celebration before reverting back…

Folks don’t want WDW to stagnate but they want it to never change…

I often complain to myself about people not wanting change in WDW yet sometimes I'm hypocritical to my own values lol.

The way I see it, all change is good change even if it's perceived as bad because even bad change leaves room for good change and leaves room for learning to avoid the mistake you made. It's ironic that I believe this because in the grand scheme of things, I actually don't like change all too much. I'm very weird with that subject is the best way I can put it lol.

Have not heard it yet (doing work right now and I don't want my parents to think I'm goofing off lol) but from what people are saying it seems to be pretty good!

But that's not what Disney said; their press releases suggest HEA being replaced by DE, and that this summer was the last time to see HEA before it "sparkled into Disney history."

I'd be very happy if DE was just run for two seasons and HEA came back.

Disney says a lot of rubbish in press releases. Do we expect “we are delighted to announce Disney Enchantment is replacing Happily Ever After but initial reviews have been unfavorable so Happily Ever After will return, with updates, in Spring 2023!”

Never. They wanted butts in the park through the end of September.
